People saying recs don't care are slightly ******ed. I'm a rec player and my volume is way down on Stars. If 888 would wake up and fix their software I'd move all my volume there. The schedule at Stars is terrible and getting worse. They think rec players want more micros? WTF. Also, just because I'm not a SNE doesn't mean I don't care that Stars stole money from the SNEs. I've lost respect for Stars and am no longer a loyal fan boy like I've been in the past. I don't care what happens to Stars any more. **** em.

i am ******ed! I say at least most recs don't care, you are an exception of rec-player, who is active on 2+2 and and has at least some knowledge which an average rec never has. So a rec player who is playing maybe 1-2 times a month would care about mincash/first prize? not think so.

I'd estimate that I have played close to 95% of my online poker on stars. In the last year that has dropped to somewhere around 50%. The new pay out structures certainly won't see me rushing back. If a tourney doesn't have X amount for 1st, it doesn't make my schedule. Really really stupid move. When people don't get excited about tournaments, they don't reg them.

What is Stars's stance on this?

honestly, after Barry Greenstein at the WCOOP main FT and Lee Jones at this one, Stars should only allow their people with online FT/deal-making experience to moderate these things

Lee Jones handled this really, really bad and in tourneys with 1M+ to first that is just absolutely not ok

also: "you've earned $560k, which should keep you out of the mines for a while" vs the argentinian 4th place finisher - really??

i had a host rush us once on a deal discussion before, i emailed stars bc it seemed super out of line and unprofessional. they gave a sincere apology and admitted the host was wrong

Too little too late. Also, doesnt seem like they learn from their mistakes. They can say sorry alll they want, SNE debacle, conversion fees, other communication errors, it doesnt change a thing.

This is extremely shameful and he should be fired for it. This is lifechanging money for every single player, they should not be rushed into a deal just because lee jones is threatening to hit the play button soon. Unbelievable

It's actually embarrassing for Stars as a company. Agreed that it's shameful, and that he should be fired, but I don't think he will be. I feel like he's somehow too high up.

unrelated question here. I live in the US and want to download Pokerstars just to watch real money tournaments. I can only download the play money version. Is this still possible?
