Seems relatively logical and doesn't really harm anyone and WSOP Main already did that for November 9 players before the break too, so it isn't without precedent.

will be interesting to see how high rollers goes this time around, feel like $530 buyins are still super successful and I'm glad to see some make it into the sched (seem perfect to be the lowest buyin during the series and there could probably be more of them), but those 2k's didn't do so well last time

I thought they do something ridiculous like Big - Early Payouts tag for no reason. Anyway implementation seems to be bad. Why you don't get the difference every time you ladder?

^ getting difference every time you ladder probably requires more time/resources to implement.

making it so that you get min cash will do the trick and accomplish its purpose. Think it's a really good thing to bump up participation over the grid.

The current plan is to roll it out to Bigs tomorrow and only for players on the .COM, .EU, and .UK licenses.

    Cool
  • The $10K Payday has been discontinued. Participation has dwindled steadily over the past year or so and as far as I can tell, it has not been sorely missed over the past week. We'll cook something else up as soon as we have the opportunity.

Actually I like the concept. Something phased with multiple phase 1 attempts is attractive to play. I hope something will come back.

Sounds like the first good change since Amaya sunk their claws in.

Hasnt been missed because no1 complained about a temp change to the format?

Seems to me its still a popular tourny and has about 13k ut every single week.

Couldve easily added a phase type sat for the turboseries main and highlighted it.

I see no reason to cut the 10k payday, you can modify it later but for the time being just leave it as is, pls.

Will it be tournament $ credited or actual $ to be able to withdrawn/casino?

early payouts has already been implemented by at least one other site that I know of. I keep a small balance on there usually and it is quite convenient to be ITM of a tourney and be able to have the funds in my account to register something else (whereas otherwise I might just skip cuz cba to find swaps). The difference of this will be quite menial imo to a lot of players but I don't see how it could possibly be a bad thing. Might also incentivize more shot takes etc.

-side note I thought the 4m shootout getting ITM after one round was kind of cool. def don't see this format ever getting huge but wouldnt mind maybe seeing a weekly mtt with it or smth

Structure of the 55"rebuy" was the dumbest i've ever seen.

Also they should make it more obvious that it is only 2 rebuys. I was in for 2 bullets before realizing with 5 bbs 10 minutes from the 25bb add-on that if I bust those 5 bbs I was done. This was basically a glorified re-entry tourney disguised as an unlimited rebuy tourney.

PS: not that I advocate for rebuying for 10bbs paying full rake on the rebuy anyways.

Huh. Why shouldn't it pay actual $? It's not even an option but automatic and in regular tournaments. Anything else doesn't make sense.

Had the same thought but if u think about it who are the people that are going to be using this feature? Not regs, not anybody who is bankrolled for that specific game. It’s going to be punters who are punting their deposit. Usually one tabling type recs. Those people aren’t gonna fire some turbo on the side most likely, they probably are affin to gambling which stars is happy to provide in the shape of some casino games or whatever. So if there s any net effect (in the case that this isn’t T$) it’s going to be money leaving the mtt ecosystem towards some games none of us here want to get that share.

Disclaimer: I didn’t come up with this so don’t flame me but it does make sense. For the money to have the positive effect on mtts that I first thought of it would have to be tournament money
