Hey everyone,
Enjoying Turbo Series? Hasn't been much discussion about it, which from my perspective is not a bad thing! Just a reminder of the promotions:
- Hots below $5 are awarding over $40K worth of Turbo Series Spin & Go tickets. Players on 12 tables will receive a ticket 10 minutes after the tournament begins!
- Every day at 14:30 ET / 20:30 CET, we're running a $2.20 satellite to the $55 Main Event with 20x seats added. So far, these have been ridiculous value.
- Every day at 13:00 ET / 19:00 CET, we're running a Second Chance Freeroll with $5K added for those who played Turbo Series Events and didn't reach the money.
- And while not a promotion, I wanted to mention that the $10K Payday will be replaced this week and next by an $11 Phase with 100 seats guaranteed to the $1,050 Main Event.

I'm sure we have at least a few tournaments that end from 02:00-04:00 CET.
That aside, we still plan to see if any of our biggest tournaments are running longer than is reasonable.

According to that fact you should aproach the tournaments creation using the logic of finding the ABI that will generate the biggest prizepools. Ofc you should take other factors as day of the week, time etc. but ABI seems like a crucial point and also really easy to calculate when you have other similiar tournaments to compare it too. The worst part is they are not only making the prizepools smaller with this huge ABI but they are also eliminating a huge part of the recreational player pool and the mtt reg pool wich makes that tournaments even softer for the top dogs and any other mtt reg that can afford that buyin. The recs and whales will get torn apart and the money will be centralized and cashed out so they didn't only lose out on the prizepools but also with the money not circulating after the series is over.
The ABI is around $215 if you exclude the $5,200 High Roller. While I don't think ABI is the ideal way to look at maximizing prize pools, I do think that $215 is probably the best buy-in we have for generating prize pools.

I'm happy to test something like this in the future so please leave specific suggestions, but I'm not optimistic about the outcome. 45 minute Time tournaments are the least popular version we offer.

I'm sure you saw, but we've been scheduling MTT satellites to start a day before the Event runs.

This is the crux of the discussion. A considerable portion of our player base lives outside of the CET time zone. Unfortunately, there's no way to please everyone when it comes to scheduling our biggest tournaments.

so low tiers in all series, is for the players, who can not play higher. who cant satty themselves to higher. either they play staked or they just dont want to gamble with sats.
also we lowstakes player like the exciteent too what is coming with the serieses like those on stars, we like to plan for it asap when its gets to lobby too. but if we see, ok we cant normally play any of the tourneys from the series, we lose excitement, i dont think we can plan for satties, its just not too exciting to think ok there is a good series, damn but wait, first i will have to win a lof of satties to play those events i want. hope u get it what i want to say. so i think for low stakes players without tiers (without low tiers) every series is boring, and if we miss more then one because there is no tiers, like highrollers, like now the turbo series, gets more boring. also dont think if any tiered series would get boring to higher stakes players either, they have their high buyins in every series, with decent guarantees, decent structures. everything else for them is a plus++, and pretty sure they dont mind if there is some low tiers too they can jump into
so
tiered series - exciting for whole player base, no one bored
no tiers in series - exciting for HS players only, others bored
anyway, keep up the good work!
can i have just one yes no answer if there is some series (either tiered, or something like micromillion based) series for lower stakes, like $2-to$11 sometimes in the next two month?
also one note on micromillions, its need to be include $8.80 and $11 tourneys, daily. we need them in the series, it was way less exciting to play MM without those.
Thanks for your feedback. While you see it as a negative that players need to win a satellite to participate, I think the aspirational aspect motivates some players. We're providing many opportunities for players to join this Series and we're always looking for more ideas!

This came up in the office recently! While I haven't started creating the schedule yet, I'll be looking to see if a traditional heads-up shootout could be successful at a lower buy-in level than offered in years past. There is no intention to stop offering it altogether, but the Zoom version offers much bigger prize pools.

Unfortunately, I think a drastic scheduling change like this would upset far more people than it would please, especially considering we left the Australian market in September. Additionally, we could not offer an attractive guarantee in this hour or those surrounding it.

I wish we had a great solution to this, but we don't. I'm not going to mince words: it will be some time until we have a flexible solution in place.
GL at the tables all.
