clearly just another move to level the playing field for recs and have regs win less/recs bleed slower. anyways doesnt really matter, the camel's back was already broken for me with the introduction of chests. absurd how quick things are being run into the ground...but I guess that's the end goal?
+1

If they would care about players - they would listen and make good changes.
All they care about is money. Seems like they hate poker players at all.

Something like an amazing MTT all in shootout knockout with 50% payouts. Why not? It's fair for everyone.

Please don't give them ideas, even if sarcastic.

It seems that with new payouts mincash in bigs will be slightly larger - 1,8x.

In b4 we get linear prize structure, where every player who survives latereg gets some money starting from 0,01x buy-in. Winner will get ~10x buy-in.

To level the playing field, of course.

Just introduce a Mario kart type game mechanic. You know when you're out in front and crushing you get the **** power ups and the worst players get the lightening bolts. You are already engineering the chests this way and introducing more and more terrible format games with skill advantages eroded by the format so much they aren't worth playing. Take all the skill out of the game let everyone have a equal chance regardless of skill.

Good for the ecology and of course amayas pocket. People will say don't give them ideas but im convinced this is what will happen anyway.

Funny thing is i remember grinding when Luke was playing mtts regularly. Odds on him being happy about all the **** changes he has made since this great new schedule if he actually wanted to grind it and make money himself not turn poker into a lottery.

Where have the 2.20 pkos with no late reg gone they were my favourite.

Mind you with the new payouts coming on monday i expect i will be done with stars i had a deep run for me anyway in the Big $1 thursday night came 94th for just over 4 buyins if its going to get worse than that wont be worth the effort and feeling like **** the next day at work :-(

Sadly cant seem to find another site with any decent micro stakes offerings

And this is why these deeper payouts are epic fail. There's no way a few more mincashes outweigh this much more sinking feeling of making a really deep run and getting 4x your buyin. Recreationals or pro's don't care much whether you pay 12 or 16%, but I've heard this story so many times.

based on a 2500 player field in a $22 mtt :

1st gets $6603.56 vs $6983.14 previously = 5.5% less
2nd gets $4513.36 vs $4898.92 previously = 9.2% less
3rd gets $3084.77 vs $3437.90 previously = 8.97% less
4th gets $2108.36 vs $2412.61 previously = 12.6% less
5th gets $1441.01 vs $1693.09 previously = 14.89% less
6th gets $984.90 vs $1188.15 previously = 17.1% less
7th gets $673.15 vs $833.80 previously = 19.27% less
8th gets $460.08 vs $585.13 previously = 21.37% less
9th gets $314.45 vs $410.62 previously = 23.42% less

in other words we're getting royally fvcked

It appears you would actually get a bigger payout for finishing 94th from Monday.

From what I can see it's just the top 70 or so getting less for tourns with 4000+ entrants, everyone else gets an increase.

That's if you still even reg the tourney in the first place. A look at the ft payouts for any given tourney compared to a couple of years back (even with similar prize pools) is fairly depressing.
There's just no longer the same motivation, and it's about to get even worse.

This may sound a little weird but is there any WCOOP where you may be able to min cash if you registered and didn't play a hand?

I received a 530$ WCOOP ticket in a chest and due to only playing PLO cash games I have no interest in playing a tournament.

I would rather be multi tabling cash than wasting my time in a tournament that would feel alien to me and result in me 100% busting before making the money.

I asked stars if I could I sell it or exchange it for stars coins but they were having none of it.

The only thing I can think of that may bring some value was the PLO KO where i may be able to win a few bounties but I'm still not keen on playing that.

btw. if we're still talking about prize structure, I remember when the sunday million winner was almost always getting 200k+ assuming no deals, now it's 150 or 170 or smth, did this change come from structural changes or avg field of this tourney got smaller? just out of curiosity

Can you transfer it to another player? I'll give you $200

Didn't they say "Don't worry, chest contents will be tailored to the games you play" ?

Not sure whether to hate on stars for making you play a format you never play, or to hate on you for getting more than 3.87$ out of a chest

Anyway, there's no way you're -EV in a plo tournament if you're a winning cashgame player above pl50. I really don't see how a 530$ buyin mtt could ever be a waste of time, if that money is worth so little to you then I'm not sure why you're posting here. And to answer your original question: no, there are no tournaments where you can win money by doing nothing.

In case you missed this thread in NVG:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...stars-1687254/

OP claims to be a losing player
Stars invites him and other losing players to a secret home game group
OP finish 1st in a 9 man freeroll (almost $50k worth)
Wins 25k
Screenshot of tourney lobby and invitation email posted there

Nice one Stars!

Anuj, this whole thread seems shady, I think I read through all of it and it doesn't seem to be making sense nor it seems proven enough. And linking it like that here without proving it giving Amaya some unearned gratitude is a bad idea as well.

Can confirm someone I know was invited to a similar freeroll.
