Agree @ midstake series during the summer. Def demand for a series of $22-$215 events. Doesn't have to have massive guarantees, just something to spice up the slow going (@ online poker) summer to get both regs and recs excited to log in and play
Something like $50-$75 abi on the series. $215 could be the HRer bi if you wanted to keep it focused on the lower stakes (with maybe a $530 'SHRer' for the series), otherwise $320 or $530 HRer
SCOOP M events was a midstake serie no?
I think the WCOOP should stay as it is. A H and M version is going to cannibalise the H.
There seems room for a M series at the end of the year tho (november), this summer is never going to happen obviously because it takes preparation and promotion
Midstakes series over the summer would be amazing. A lot of grinders cant afford to / dont want to go to WSOP. You can target this midstakes series at them and it will do phenomenally well.
Hi guys. Been thinking about what was successful in scoop and what is missing in the current schedule. And I think the answer is a better use of phases.
The phase events in Scoop were enormous, proving the demand for them is there, yet The Weekender is a completely dead reg fest. More proof lies in the 10k payday, which is a massive success every week. So there's clearly a lot of untapped potential in this area.
I really think that a 55 phase 1 running daily to a MONTHLY phase 2 with a guarantee of 500k-1m would be a huge success. Massive rec appeal, low ish buyin, huge prize potential. Do lots of 11 sats to the 55 phase 1 (running alongside the 10k payday phases) and you're laughing. Do it last Sunday of every month as part of your VIP monthly promotion weekend. Also, if you made it PSKO & re-entry I'm fairly sure you'd crack a 1m guaranteed every month.
Just a thought! By the way, I'm exactly the target for this sort of tourny and it would be my ideal event as a weekend regular player who doesn't play for a living.
Luke, we need a Razz event this MicroMillions and can you make this series more than 90 events please? More games like Omaha, Razz, Stud Hi/Lo, 5-card Draw and 2-7 would be nice.
