So it's been mentioned above and upon thinking about it more, a mid-stakes ish tournament series could be a really good idea and I would imagine it would be well received (who would turn down another series?) I believe there is room in the schedule and there is definitely a gap for it - since MM's is now really a MICRO tournament series ($5.50 highest BI barring the ME).

In terms of dates:

January ~ TCOOP
February
March ~ MM ran here in 2015 *potential gap here*
April
May ~ SCOOP
June
July ~ MM ran here in 2016
August
September ~ WCOOP
October
November ~ * potential gap here (for a new tournament series)*
December

In terms of buyins:

TCOOP: largely $27-$215 (+ a few $7.50R,1 $530,1 $700,1 $2,100)
MM (2015 & before): largely $2.20-$11 (+$0.11+R,$22)
MM (2016): largely $1.10-$5.50 (+$0.11+R,$22)
SCOOP: largely $27-$2,100 (+ 5 $11, 1 $10,000, 1 $21,000
WCOOP: largely $215-$2,100 (+ 1 $51,000, 1 $5,200, 1 $10,300 etc.)

If we take out the "old" MM (2015 & before), we are left with:

$1.10-$5.50 MM
. . . . . . . . *$5.50-$27 gap*
. . . . . . . .. . . . . . . $27-$215 TCOOP
. . . .. . . .. . .. . .. . . . $27-$2,100 SCOOP
. . .. .. . . .. . .. . . . .. . . . . $215-$2,100 WCOOP

When you look in the client, under the tournaments > low tab you see: $5.50-$16.50 tournaments (personally i think $5.50 - $22 would work best in terms of a tournament series). This is exactly the type of audience you could captivate with this. MM covers off the 'micro' tab, SCOOP covers off 'medium' & 'high' tab, WCOOP is 'high' ofc, and TCOOP is 'medium' & 'high'. I don't think there is any question of whether this series would be a success, the sunday mini million gets ~ around $175,000 pp every single week. the MM ME always beats it's $1M guarantee. Both of these are $22 tournaments, which shows this buyin range is definitely the "sweet-spot". Storm gets $200k-$250k weekly, $11 phase beats $100k every week now among loads of other great tournaments. Not to mention that the $11 phase tournament during SCOOP got a near $1M pp which was unreal - the demand is there!

Each series has it's own personality and I know you would want to preserve that. TCOOP is a turbo series. SCOOP has L,M,H. WCOOP is ultimate high BI series. MM is for micros. The new series would definitely not encroach on any of these. In addition, I know EPT is like August, right? and WSOP June ish so March/November seem to be the perfect slots for it. MM successfully ran March last year, so that shows that it is a good slot.

Finally, Luke I appreciate that you're not going to just be like "OMG!!1 great idea. done." but would be nice to know if (personally) you agree there is a gap? Whether you think something like this would ever be possible? And if not, why not? Thanks! Grateful we have this platform to reach out to you.

If I remember correctly mini-FTOPS mainly had $11-$55 events. Modify and expand it, rename it like "MiniMillions" and get in in the air before the end of the year.

+1 to the low-mid tourney series idea. some events would probably reach close to micro million participation numbers. i think November is a better slot then march personally but we'll see. fingers crossed.

How can Pokerstars with all their supposed information at hand get the guarantee so wrong.

To me this is just more evidence of amaya intentionally killing off the rebuy formats popularity.

Yes please, Tu $320 FLO8 Omania High Roller. Before WCOOP starts? Well, that is more or less now

Luke: This is the first micro millions series where there has not been a torny every 3 hours on a 24 hr schedule. In particular you have removed at least 2-3 in the off-peak slots (see the huge gap 10 hours where there are no tornies!). Just acknowledge that you've done it don't deny it. For future series put them back in.

luke, im interested as to why you guys havent fired a $22, $55 phase tournament u could start them off at 100k guarantee like the $11 phase, i know u say it struggles to make gurantee sometimes, but i think $22 or $44 phase would do alot better, smaller field and would smash guarantee imo

Schedule is in need of a few $16.50, $22, $27, $33 regular speed 6-max PSKOs. These were a very popular format in the past and I would definitely like to see a few brought back. Perhaps 1-2 of the "turbo" 6-max PSKOs could be changed to regular speed format? Just a suggestion.

+1 to a lowstakes series as well.

Hey all,

Just dropping in for a few quick comments:
  1. Many guarantees are being adjusted upward this week. Every increase will use the "Guarantee Boost!" tag so feel free to search the lobby.
  2. The Sunday Storm will award $22 MicroMillions tickets again and the guarantee has increased to $250K.
  3. The Sunday Million will allow 1 re-entry this week.
  4. I'm currently working on the next round of changes to the schedule. While I do not have an ordered list of what will change and when, I'll be looking into many changes based on feedback here.

I think it makes more sense to allow a single reentry in Sunday Storm than Sunday Million.

+1

Why is micro millions for players of certain countries only?

What about those of us who are awake for the other 16 hours of the day?
There is a 15 hour window with ONE tournament running each day.

Care to comment, Luke?

Completely agreed. Would love another entry in the storm personally although I understand some lower stakes players might not.
