OK. If they are doing things that way it's bad. How about my wild guess that PS are attempting to shift the population to shorter formats? Do you really mean it when you say it looks like "stars are randomly clicking buttons"? You see no patterns in the shifting of guarantees emphasis?
Another question for my interest - a slight change of subject: Looking on as a cash games player [that's what I am] the Progressive KOs are a very interesting format - I haven't played one but it looks as if one has to understand some advanced poker concepts to get full benefit from these. Although the variance is higher for everyone in these games it is also much harder for a rec to play these soundly - many situations are totally non-standard & there are times when stacks & bounties demand one has to play some quite weak hands. Because there's so much value to scoop up...
What I've just written in that para - is it correct? If so why aren't the skilled tourney players in this thread praising PSKOs? Why is this thread 90% long faces? For the ones who can adapt it must be raining dollars from heaven on pokerStars surely? Or have I misunderstood something?
I am asking these questions because I want to learn/understand the online MTT world. I'm hoping I read some interesting thoughts here rather than being 'dogpiled' with short, snide witticisms [I've seen it done before to other people all over 2+2]. We shall see.
