I'm against a bunch of changes/hidden rake whatever stars is doing lately, but going nuts insulting stars reps etc. just doesn't feel productive and it's not ALL that bad. give it a week or two, give feedback if you have any and stop panicking.

luke, you already knew that the players will complain about the structure and the ace up your sleeve was to make the structure slower by one minute. just to fool us.
also nice timing with these changes, just before scoop so we are forced to play. nice corporation tactics. don't forget poker is a game of logic and logic is our stuff... don't try to fool us luke .

Its a 2 step backwards then 1 step ahead approach that Amaya has been taking with us on every change. By giving a bone back placates many until the next wave of bad news. I'd expect a slight structure improvement coming next week... but not to where it was 2 weeks ago. Then I'd expect to see even higher marketing of Turbo type tourneys which will result in any decent structured tourney becoming withered. And then Stars will just say that this is what players obviously want.

i never insulted the rep and i have given tons of feedback regarding regular speed tournies, micros, and non NLHE. if you actually read through the thread you would know that.

that comment was me saying this thread is ineffective b/c we complained before (about the payouts) and nothing got done. we are complaining again and im saying again nothing will get done. at best we will get small tweak to the big structures. no love for micros, non turbo tourneys, and non NLHE. that's my opinion and i hope they prove me wrong

Amazing there are people ITT telling people to "wait it out" and "calm down" given the history of Stars over the past 2 years. They are observing reality, and you are in total denial or have not been paying attention.

They literally ripped off their highest volume most loyal player base for millions and millions of dollars with the Supernova/elite smack down. That alone should show you all you need to know regarding how dishonest this new management is. These latest changes are the final phases of a destructive trend to shift the business model AWAY from traditional poker. People are sad and even feel betrayed to see this brand get burnt to the ground while cashing in on a rich history that helped grow poker in profound ways.

Only a complete fish would applaud these changes, trust stars, accept these super infrequent and passive "responses" while telling everyone to relax while they get outright lied to by a once very trust worthy company.

I plotted out the Blinds over time in Matlab for a variety of MTTs. I think its already been said. But this lays it out visually.
Everything got faster but some more than others.. and the low-micro stuff is just bananas.. forget the $2+R (which is insane), look at the $3.30 micro lol!

One way to analyze these is to look at what point you have 10bb left when: you do nothing or have 3x/4x startingstack in the beginning and compare it to the old structure.
(for people who dont know logarithmic scales for the Y-Axis: example: 10^3 = 3000 so all the steps above are +1k until 10^4=10k then every step is 10k)

I think they just forgot to increase it for scoop and hoped or assumed it would go unnoticed on the reg sched. I think its a mistake to put anything past them at this point in terms of deception especially regarding how they word their changes as "improvements." Chances of refunds are near but maybe above zero imo. Willing and wanting to be wrong of course.
