I rarely get to play these days but try to get in 2-3 series over the course of a year - had high hopes for Stars reprising the Blowout Series of last year that replaced the Winter Series and had 4+ $5m guarantee tournaments. Looks like they've reverted to Winter Series with 2 tournaments with $2m guaranteed being the biggest prize pools (one of those with a $5k buyin).
What gives? Blowout Series seems to have shattered guarantees ($93.6m prize pool vs. $60m gtd) - was last year an outlier with people stuck at home due to Covid? Is Stars just a dying site at this point? Some other large event coming up that they want to focus on instead? Schedule is really underwhelming so I'm wondering if I should even bother or just wait for SCOOP/WCOOP, but curious what the deal is as someone fairly out of the loop.
Last year was definitely an outlier. Online poker saw a lot of temporary growth due to lockdowns and there was already clear data growth started slowing a while ago.
ty guys - checked on GG's tournament schedule for the same time period after mash's post and yep, seems like that's the clear place to play now. Good riddance Stars.

ggpoker site or is there a forum too?
where are people actively communicating like in the old days, where is most the community hanging out or have they all moved on?
The frequency of table swapping is ridiculous, it happens even in high-end slow tournaments. I was ok with it happening in hypers in turbos, but I can barely play 2-3 orbits in the SM and get moved.
Does anyone else get "sticky" buttons when clicking where you click and it doesn't register properly so you have to click 2-3 times to fold or bet? I've got all the Aurora stuff turned off and my laptop isn't too old or slow. Incredibly annoying when you have a bunch of tables up.
In case any stars representative is still reading this thread:
Wonder if there is any chance to add a regular speed Tournament within the time slot 14:00 - 15:30 European time (between 109 Daily Kickoff and 55 Marathon) There is literally nothing reg speed to play in between. Also the Daily kickoff gets cancelled a lot and is overall not a very popular tournament.
Adding a Bounty Builder 55 / 82 at around 14:45 European time would be a good fit I think.
Also, consider reducing the buyin of Daily Kickoff or even better make it 6 max and call it daily 6-max or something. As of now its a shitty tournament that runs infrequently with a small pricepool and not many fun players.
Make the early afternoon schedule a bit more attractive...
Sry if this is misplaced. Last time I was at 2+2 it looked completely different. Now I can't find ANYTHING, eeven though i tried browsing a few forums and subforums. I really dont get the new structure and search didnt return aything on "scoop"
Anway, regarding the last thursday thrill scoop tourney that is a 2-day event that started y-day.
I'm still in and just noticed that day2 is scheduled for TOMORROW, leaving today as a rest day?!
I've never seen that. What's the reason? some holiday? And is that common or first time ever on stars?
edit: Oh, just reading last couple of posts it seems the entire forum is dead. a pm with url to anything with more activity is greatly appreciated

Yeah, common since two years or something? Fridays are always rest days in SCOOP or WCOOP series.
