I don't play much anymore, but every time I log in i'm shocked at how bad it is. All the tournaments seem completley dead, it's crazy. Peak Big $44/$109 4k gtd, b55 5k gtd. Couple that with the terrible payouts, higher rake, reduced rewards and the terrible Aurora graphics stuff and it's not worth playing on stars at all.

Most of the satellites to the WCOOP highs seem to start after the event has started. Why would anyone want to play a sat to qualify and sit down to 30bb, especially in a psko?

Been the same for most tourney satellites. I agree doesn’t make sense at all

Would be nice with a HU Zoom low, mid and high to end the series.

I just checked out the schedule for pokerstars new bounty builder series.

I am very disappointed. 20 $500+ nlh mtts and not even a single plo mtt above $109. That is pathetic. Why don't we get any big plo mtts this series even a few $200 and a $500 and a 1K?

Can we get some more big plo mtts and maybe a plo series?

Any opinions on the new MTT SNG changes? I am bummed out about the removal of SNGs that have been a huge part of my life over the last years, like the 3.3/180. Then again, traffic was declining.

Stars bears some responsibility because the lack of rakeback must have discouraged some regs from putting volume and that affected the liquidity. I thought the recent rakeback changes might have had a positive effect and they should have been given time to work. Also with people having issues with lag when they play multiple tables, Aurora doesn't help either.

OTOH, recreational players do tend to navigate towards PKOs. Maybe institute a $7 PKO on demand between the 3.3 and 11 one? Or will it cannibalize the $11 one?

nice idea to replace 60$ 18men with 50$. You even decreased the rake a tiny bit. This could help getting more traffic at this level. pretty cool

Yes. Good days indeed. But right now, even though they lowered the buy ins and shut down a few MTT SNGs, it feels as if there are less SNGs to play. It's beyond frustrating!

Ok, after grinding for a day, here are my thoughts.

It's obvious PKOs attract more recreational players. I could be wrong, but the On Demand 180s rarely reach 180s and tend to be more reg infested. It was a surprise to me, but the $5 18-180 seems to attract less runners than the 3.3 Rebuy 180. At the same time the $11 PKO attracts more than 200 runners during peak hours.

Based on this, it seems to me that Stars can:

1. Offer a $15 PKO without too much loss of demand.

2. Insert a new $9 PKO as an inbetween option.

3. Abandon the $5 on demand 180 and either bring back the $3.3 Rebuy or offer an on demand Rebuy version.

I am going to email Stars with these suggestions; I putting it here in the hope that someone from there reads or that other players will add their thoughts to it.

I played them regularly; they ran way more often than the new tournaments. No idea why it changed as was fine before.

There’s no reg speed left either which is a real shame.

No other site offers MTT SNG So can’t even move elsewhere. Real shame

Please email them and tell them to bring back the rebuy and tell them to fix this.

They didn't remove the 3.50 rebuy because it wasn't running as often. Come on guys.

Were the bigs always 8-max or has this been changed recently?

I rarely get to play these days but try to get in 2-3 series over the course of a year - had high hopes for Stars reprising the Blowout Series of last year that replaced the Winter Series and had 4+ $5m guarantee tournaments. Looks like they've reverted to Winter Series with 2 tournaments with $2m guaranteed being the biggest prize pools (one of those with a $5k buyin).

What gives? Blowout Series seems to have shattered guarantees ($93.6m prize pool vs. $60m gtd) - was last year an outlier with people stuck at home due to Covid? Is Stars just a dying site at this point? Some other large event coming up that they want to focus on instead? Schedule is really underwhelming so I'm wondering if I should even bother or just wait for SCOOP/WCOOP, but curious what the deal is as someone fairly out of the loop.
