id have to assume my internet is fine. im not sure. i cant log on my home computer to find out.

i think my harddrive either is too full, or somehow my default xp account got corrupted.

should be an easy fix if my harddrive is too full, ill just dwep some stuff and move on. if my profile is corrupted, then im not sure what i have to do, but it probably involves money whcih i dont have...and a ton of boredom because my computer is my tv, and my stereo.

i have 2 24" monitors next to each other, its a little too wide, i really need to get a stand so i can turn them sideways, seems like that is really the way to go. right now i keep my lobbies all the way on one side with winamp, trillian and stuff and then my tables across the rest of the expanse, i can't play with overlap for whatever reason, so i need to be able to tile. I can tile 18 pretty nice in the middle with a bit of room on the side of each monitor.

or i have a 15" laptop with a 1920x1200 screen, its small, but i can tile 12 pretty nicely on it. fine for a session when i want to take it easy.

I`ll never understood how you guys are able to play 12+ table at 1 monitor . My biggest leak in poker is def not being good at multitabling , so I decided 3 month ago to spend a good part of my BR on a 30" Samsung .(and a new PC , b/c my old crashed ).Beside that I have a FTP FPP 22". Now I can comfortable 6-8 tabling AND watching OPR , 2+2.... . The 30" displays 20 tables w/o overlapping ; but thats something Ill prob never have use to .

You helped me out, so now I'll try to do the same for you.

Regardless of the system and monitors you go for, it is absolutely essential that you get a quality keyboard and mouse that you like! These are the two pieces of equipment that you are actually handling. Don't scimp here! Quality and comfort are imperitive!

Personally, I think the Saitek Eclipse II keyboard is the best one out there, but there are others. I use the MX Revolution mouse both at work and at home and love it for actual work. However, cordless mice have been known to be a bit unresponsive now and then. If you want cordless, then the MX is probably the best choice. However, you may want to consider a high-end corded gaming mouse for some serious multitabling. The speed, precision and reliability of a gaming mouse from Razor, Logitech, Microsoft or Saitek is hard to beat. The biggest differences between these gaming mice is personal preferance. I use a Locitech G5 for gaming. Although I usually just use my MX for 4 tabling on Stars.

Even if you are ordering online, make sure that you actually test out the mouse and keyboard in a shop before you make your choice!

Yup p3, I will stay away from Vista because it just sux too much resources.
And I WILL skype you to get going all the stuff you send me. Hotkeys and scripts.

Hadn't thought about the Cordless stuff reliability of the MX Revolution. I would hate to have to change mouse during a session. Anyone experienced mouse cordless failure during sessions?

Yeah, I've had this happen a few times. Always had the USB mouse on standby though.

I'm currently assembling a new desk which will take...days at least. I order my new computer in the next few days + new mouse/keyboard and then I'll see if my digital camera still works and get some good pics up for you boys.

2 22" monitors here, for 12-15 tabling tiled. Also fwiw I think too much screen space is bad, it tempts you to browse internet/chat whilst playing. As for me I managed to get through all 270+ episodes of a certain series (which is so childish im too embarrassed to mention) in the couple of months I played fulltime. mustve lost thousands in EV...

My MX Revolution has never hung completely, but perhaps once every other month it will get a big laggy for some unknown reason. When this happens it is more an irritant than an actual problem. However, it is a known issue with cordless mice.

I just bought a new MX Revolution for work and wouldn't choose any other, but a top-end corded gaming mouse is the better choice for precision and reliability for gaming whether it be Half-Life, Fallout 3 or poker.

There are a ton of excellent corded gaming mice. The biggest difference between them is the shape, button placement and weight. These are all matters of personal preferance. That is why you really need to do a hands on test of them.

Forgot to mention that you really have to get a good mouse pad to slide your new best friend around on. Lots to choose from here, too - lol! SteelSeries or Razor are good choices though.

A very good point Roland brings up - I have no idea where I got this mouse pad or who made it, but if my place was burning down it's pretty high on the list of the things I'd grab.

LOL, I know the feeling! I actually have two pads. One with a gel pad to rest my wrist on for work, and a Steel pad for gaming. Yes, I'm rather anal about these things, but you need the right tool for the job!

idk whats true these days, but aeron's were pretty much the chair of choice for a while, looks like they run about $700 these days

if that out of your price range i'm interested to see what others come up with, cuz i could use a new chair too, and i ain't spending $700.

heh, this advice took a bit (sorry was looking for that monitor stand, finally broke down and got it, tr in a few days)
