Ok, seems like discussion has died down a bit so lets get to the next part....

I min raise to 475. Cutoff calls, button calls, SB's hand is auto-folded, BB min reraises to 750. Here is the read on BB(from OP):

Quote:
UTG is a tricky player who limp with monsters and many times will slowplay too much and get himself in trouble. He will also occassionally make moves that are simply weird and pretty unexplainable. He looks at his cards, takes a longer time than usual to act, and min. raises to 400. I have never seen him min. raise or raise from EP.
Cutoff is a middleaged man with only one leg. He has been involved in one noteable pot in which he had a flush draw and one over in a single raised preflop pot and 5 bet all in on the flop. Opponent who had 4 bet him was apparently bluffing and folded. He then showed the semi-bluff. Other than that he has been opening more than his fair share of hands preflop and has displayed standard aggression postflop, but none of his other hands were shown. Button is LP from last hand, here is the read on him(from post #34):

Quote:
Guy in LP is probably one of the weaker players at the table- not because he is reckless, but because he is very predictable. I talked to him before the tourney and found out that he had won his way in through a sattlite and had never played at anywhere near these stakes. And it showed. He was pretty much playing straightforward ABC poker. Pretty much you could believe his bets for what they represented, and you could push him off a marginal hand easily.

Whats your move?

This thread has taught me so much. It is fascinating to see the great poker minds of 2+2 come together to thoroughly dissect a hand.

I get a straw and a spoon and start eating the tea-dude's barf off the floor. If that doesn't get everyone to run away from the table and muck their hands, they must have a good hand, and I can check/fold. Otherwise, they all have crappy hands and I'll win the pot uncontested.

one fat -1 to this type of thread.

I was scanning through the first 5 pages of this and still have not encountered anything interesting, so please, for the love of god, get to the point earlier.
I get that you want each dicision discussed seperately, but please, keep that to relevant dicisions, not wheather or not you want to bluff in 4 people with no backdoor.

You guys can't say you love the thread but then not provide any analysis of the hand. Remember the reason that we're all here is to learn, and discussion of hands like this are what has caused people like David Sklansky to get so good at playing poker. If you want to be like David Sklansky then you should give your thoughts on the hand imo.

Correction: My raise to 475 was NOT a min raise. I apologize to the forum for any confusion this may have caused, and I'd be willing to re-start the thread(with 100% correct information given) if necessary.

god i remember seeing this thread at the beginning of my 2p2 buttonclicking career, before it had devolved into pure trolling

today i was like hmmm, this has to be a level since assani became one of the toughest midstakes plo8 cash regs, then i was like 'LOL plo8ers tho,'...^^^but come on, this is just too obvious

$4000 buy in MTT, about 300 entrants, 40 spots pay. Start with 10,000 chips.

Play has been going on for about 2 hours. Blinds are now 100/200. I have been at the same table the entire time, but quite a few people have busted and new people have been shuffled in. I have 17,000 in chips, which is slightly above average in the tourney but is slightly below average at the table.

I'm in EP with 4-5 of diamonds.

I'm next to act.

I do have reads on several of the players behind me...Generally speaking, several of them are very loose with their calls. I will give more details on specific players as they become pertinent to the hand.

Even though I'm out of position, I decide that the stacks are so deep and theres a decent chance that he has a monster that maybe I could take his whole stack here. I'll take a gamble and call. Thoughts on this? Too loose? I'll stop here for now...
too loose with people behind to act, your asking for trouble, find a better spot.
