I have subscribed to preflopguru and gtowizard and their solutions appear to be very different.
For example for LJ vs Button facing a 3bet 40bb deep. A pretty common spot if you grind MMTs. Preflopguru are suggesting a much tighter defense folding 38% calling with some AJo K9s only some A6s and A7s however GTOwizard are suggesting only folding 20.7% calling all the way down to K5s calling A6s and A7s pure and calling all AJo and most ATo.
So which is more accurate?
What tool or tools would you suggest for the best mtt gto ranges?
How good is your hand reading? You can play the suited Kx and weaker aces if you can make sure you don’t gang yourself on a dry board.
I think a lot of people are taking these GTO ranges a little too seriously. The edge difference between those 2 approaches is far more dependent on Hero’s post flop skills than anything IMO.
GTO Wizard is a big project and I know the developers are discussing optimal settings with pros (as I am one of them). Preflop Guru is some random guy who ran some sims and paid an ad on Reddit. The chance of him forgetting some important setting in his sim is pretty high.
And you also never specified what sizings were used. If its 0,5-1bb larger 3bet, then that changes things too.
