I've had success in $25 SNGs as well as the $10s. I'm in a position now where I have a lot of free time and would like to treat it as a business. I don't really have a reliable ROI at this time. I just know when I do play them, I tend to cash.

The site I am on has no HUD, and only one $25 SNG at a time, so I'd add a $10 to play at least two at a time, and I'd add a $50 from time to time if available.

What would be an excellent bankroll to withstand the worst of it?

Could this form of poker at these limits ever be considered an income and if so what could be expected? Not sure how many SNGs I could play in say an 8 hour period. Depends on what's available.

How many months of living expenses would you suggest? This would be a secondary income, but still would like a response.

Just looking for answers to these questions if possible. I'm not interested in cash or MTTs, or comments that don't apply to particular questions from this post.

There is a standard model to estimate bankroll to minimize going bankrupt for a given win rate and standard deviation (cash) or a given ROI and ITM distribution for SNG.

To give you some idea, assume your ROI is ROI% for a 9 man SNG with a 50 30 20 prize structure and a 10 + 1 entry fee. When in the money (ITM) you finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd with about the same frequency. Here is the bankroll you need to have only a 5% chance of going bankrupt in 100 tournaments.
