You'll regret not playing the Bellagio stuff.

This is completely unacceptable and the reason I made that cheesy PA vs. Joe Schmoe post earlier today.

LV Gaming should address this.

I don't understand how Harrah's continues to tread on basic integrity issues. New year ... same greed ... same disrespect for the intregrity of what really matters.

Hey Harrahs, the prize pool is made up of the player's money. When you begin to get sponsorship dollars to create prize pools then you get to **** everything up if you wish.

With the board reading {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {7-Clubs}, a player raised all in over the top of Phil Tom's river bet. Tom made the call and his opponent showed {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts}.

Tom studied the board for a couple of seconds before saying, "Nice hand," then flipping {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} for the bigger house.

"Wow, sick slowroll" commented another player at the table while Tom raked in a huge 80,000 pot.

hope this guy dies

so, my friend was in the hand where pham went ballistic.

here is a rough account of what happened...pham opened and friend called from the bb. friend had QsJc and the flop was 910A with 2 spades. friend check called a flop bet from pham (please, no strat discussion). turn was the 8 of spades . friend checked and pham checked behind. river was a 4 spade. friend lead river for 625 (he threw out a 1k chip and a 25 chip but announced that he was betting 625). pham had earphones on and i guess didnt hear the bet amount (even though the dealer clearly announced it) and pham threw out a 1k chip AND a 500 chip. this is obv a raise since it isnt a single overchip. at this point, pham asks to see my friends cards and my friend is like "um, you raised". this is where pham flips out and wants a floor and blah blah. the floor ruled it was a raise and pham did not like this ruling. he was cussing the dealer out, slammed his chair into the table and walked off for about 40 mins. as he was walking away from the table, he threw another chair and also threw a cup of water into the wall. when he got back from his 40 min walk, he was promptly hit with a 35 min penalty.

(hand might not be right, but the river betting is the only thing pertinent to the story)

07-07-2009 , 12:32 AM

This is fantastic. To cap off my day, I am now running worse online than I thought humanly possible. I've won like 2/7 hands getting it all in with >65% equity and won 1/6 flips. Somehow this is so, so, so unsurprising. Maybe I'm saving my run-good for the Bellagio tomorrow?

I was at this table. jeeeeeeesus.

note the "was"

KK<AA for 8k early, then I ran a bluff to knock off another 10k, get down to like 6500 and double KhQh>QcJc that coldcalled pre then called my squueze (CHAMPIOOOOOOOON)

go to dinner, come back, phil tom cc's AT in the sb when I open AJ on the buton, T93 lost some chips fml. then open 7c5c to 900 at 25/150/300 one in front of hj, co cc's with roughly same stack as me (7k ish). it comes Ac6h8h and I c/r his 1400 bet to allin. AJ good. sigh.

Is that Patrik Antonius? Otherwise, I don't see him listed there. [conspiracy music increases]

Since I last posted:

Top set < runner runner, KK < AA, QQ< TT 10bbs deep on the bubble.

Night guys, I expect to get AA about 37 times tomorrow in the bellagio 2k.

Edit, meant QQ < TT not the other way around.

This hand cannot have been reported correctly...

Arieh Remains Disciplined

With a call, then a raise and a cold call in front of him, Josh Arieh decided a squeeze was in order to pick up the dead money in the pot. He made it 4,200 to go and got one fold before the original aggressor decided to re-raise once again and moved all in for an additional 11,500.

Another fold and the action was back with Arieh. With around 85,000 chips in front of him, Arieh considered gambling but made a disciplined fold, flashing A K

Ya, LOL. More than 19k in the pot and he needs to call 11K with AK as if he folds.

I figured as much, but I was confused by the earlier discussions. First I heard he got shut out, then I heard he had gotten a seat ater the sell-out time and was sitting behind a stack of chips, then I heard he'd "registered overnight". I was pretty sure one way or another, he was playing, but I guess not.
