Aww man, I had you on my FT fantasy team.

The door has officially been closed (even on the PAs and Iveys of the poker world):

"We are simply at capacity and there's nothing else we can do today." - said Commish Pollack

Interesting that he said "today". Leaving the door open for a possible 1E in the near future?

That's actually a good point. Since thursday is a off day they could easily fit people in tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday afternoon and have them comeback for a day 2c on Friday. Not sure how feasible that is though.

Flop 973 2 diamonds. Bingo. BB leads for 1k, sb doesn't take much time to rejack to 2.7k. HJ folds. I haven't really been out of the line and BB has only 11k total so there's a chance he reships so I just flat with middle set. He calls the 1.7k raise.

Turn is 6d, completing flush draws and T8. **** card. Check, check. I check behind.

River 3s. So final board is 97d36d3d . BB leads for 5k of his 11k stack, utg thinks for a bit before putting in a big pile of chips that have me covered. I hollywood a bit but really can't put him on anything other than 99 or 33. End up folding, BB folds as well claiming he had the flush. UTG doesn't show but tells me mulitple times he had 99 which I'm 99.9% sure he wasn't lying since I talked with him on a few breaks and after the day was over.

hahaha wow

Micon Angled?
The board read with four players in the hand over at Bryan Micon's table. The small blind checked, the big blind bet 200, the next player called, and then Micon called.

The river brought the and the first two players checked. The third player fired out 250. Micon raised to 950. The first player from the small blind called and the big blind folded. The player that bet 250 grabbed a bunch of T1,000 chips -- six of them to be exact -- and tossed them into the pot. The dealer looked at the player and the player said, "That's a call, right?"

"No sir, those are 1,000 chips, that's a raise." responded the dealer.

"O.K." said the player.

Micon looked puzzled and stood up from his chair, putting his hands on his head. "Sir, are you leveling me?" he asked. He deliberated for a few moments and then made the call. The other player got out of the way.

The man that tossed in the reraise showed for a rivered full house. Micon showed the nut flush, but lost the hand
That wasn't even a believable amount of chips to be putting in right? I guess unless he just grabbed really quick at his stack and threw them out, he would have needed to put 7 of them in "to be calling."

Wow. If I'm in Micon's spot I would punch this guy out of his chair.

Why the hell would they let Ivey off the hook for playing on a feature table? Ivey on a feature table is obv great publicity, and Ivey has no leverage since it's not like he'll just stop playing the ME or something.
you forgot to take into account the fact that someone would have to say no to ivey. I sure as hell wouldn't want to do it.

Wow seeing this in the ME ... I would have NEVER have expected it.

supposedly Huck Seed got shut out.

One of my friends is at that table- few updates from his fbook:

8 seat bets 175 into a 2k pot and shows 45 no pair.

Lol, same guy bet 22k into a 900 pot.

Norton Moise (bridge champ?) is the mis-betting guy

Day 2c's not gonna happen, they'll just get tossed into 2a.

An unfortunate lady was taken aside by a floorman who most apologetically explained to her that she was being penalized for checking the nuts.

"You see, you had the best hand possible, so if someone bets you have to raise and if someone checks you have to bet, you have to create action. See, if you don't, then it's more like a home game, with everyone just checking and all friendly..."

The lady in question looked suitably patronized, and was issued her penalty on top of that.

What the **** ??

Definitely don't need a day 2c. Just put them in day 2a

I would go absolutely ballistic if I had to play day 2a the day after playing 1d, insanely incredibly unfair. Bring Matt Savage to the Rio, whoever is running the show this year is just insanely incompetent.

Not if you got shut out because for some reason you didn't reg earlier and were begging to get in. If they said, "Okay, we can make this work, but it means you will have to play day 2 the very next day" you can bet 99% of people would be jumping at this.

even though you showed up late and registration was closed and somehow miraculously they added more tables at 4PM and allowed you to play in day 1D?
07-06-2009 , 06:59 PM
