Yeah I was about to post asking if the ME day ones are usually around July 4th because clearly they shouldn't next year.

Busted after running a stupid bluff early on, then JT<66 on TT6 flop for a bunch of chips (could've folded river maybe), then 87<Q8 on 884 flop BBvsSB (again, maybe should've folded river).

I save my worst play for biggest events of the year apparently.

On the last hand of the night Andy “BKiCe” Seth suffered from a dealer’s mistake. When we reached Table 11 there were four cards on the board, A-7-9-2, but that was supposed to be the flop. A tournament director ruled that the “flop” would be reshuffled into the deck and three new cards would be delivered.
shouldn't the 2 become the burn and the flop stay the same?

I've had a floor rule the same way as in the update

45k to end day 1, i made people realize that swongs were 3 things. then i calmed down and nitted it up.

also- quit your bitching and think about double the amount of chips in play 2B vs 2A
Is this a serious post? Are you an idiot? For one thing, I'm Canadian so I don't see how July 4 matters to me one way or the other.

And how does there being more chips in play matter at all? Do you realize that we only play at 1 table at a time, and there's several days more after Day 2, where the field combines? Not to mention 10 handed would be both more uncomfortable, and forces one to play tighter, and that doesn't benefit a skilled player, so it would be harder to have a big stack for Day 2.

just reg'd for tomo, 2620 so far....

clearly they're struggling for room so much that i'm playing outside the buzios fish restaurant next to the casino floor....perfect location for a 10k event. Having said that, I'd probably have accepted playing outside in the car park....

The turn brought the {3-Spades} and action checked to Kessler. He fired 1,500 and was called.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and a bet of 2,000 was laid out in front of Kessler by his opponent. Kessler made the call and tabled a set of eights with the {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}. His opponent held {A-Spades} {9-Spades}.

WP Allen...LOL

The river bet was $3,000. The only hand that could check on the turn and pay a raise to 7500 or so on the river was exactly A9. This same player had limped Aces and played it similar in another hand.

boom registered. they're putting all new people in Buzios now. kinda gross getting a late reg table in the main, and now having to play it for 5 levels, but i'll deal.

i don't see how they don't sell out, unless they somehow bump the cap to 3500+, there were 26xx reg'd when i did 20 min ago and a steady stream of regs.

I would bet 1d is 10-handed.

Also I highly doubt they're going to shut people out. They'll probably whip up an alternate system or keep reg open for as many levels as it takes.

was at the feature table with phil hellmuth all day. i bluffed him twice and he blew up a lot which was entertaining. He also paid me 160.00 to see my hand which we bought cocktails with at the feature. will probably make for good tv. flopped top set vs him twice, but he didn't bite, ended w 47.4k
07-06-2009 , 05:27 AM
ended on 40k. played terrible all day, then some dude cold calls the nut 4 high vs my 3bet and i lose 17k on 2nd last hand.

Sorry for being a nit, but the river bet was not $3,000. It was 3,000 chips. In tournament poker, chips do not have a direct dollar value. It is especially misleading since an approximate value would be worth way less than $3,000. You should pay more attention to detail Allen.

Finished with 92k. I had a pretty tough first table with no one giving away chips except for the dude wearing a MavenVT patch
