Oh yeah, hand of the day yesterday. Johnny Chan limps from ep at 150/300, young aggro guy makes it 1100 next to act, sb calls, johnny calls. Flop 976ssh. Checked to raiser, 2100, johnny calls. Turn Th, johnny leads 3k, call. River 2h, check, bet 4400, johnny calls pretty quick. Guy says nice call, turns over AQo, johnny says "good bet I called you with ace high" shows A3ss and mucks

hey guys, wasn't sure how much i needed to sell so i waited till now to post.
i'm selling main event action at 1.5:1 ($150/1%), and i'm selling my roommate dave's (pwî on here) action at 1.25:1 ($125/1%). if you want to buy both, then i'll sell at 1.35:1($270/1% of each). PM/IM/Text if interested, we're both planning on playing Monday/1D. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks.

There's no way that Day 1-d sells out is there? I'll be there at about 2pm tomorrow.

This last second change is a disgusting money grab and probably an outright fraud. I'm sure there are casual players who would not have played had they been informed they were only playing 4 levels on Day 1 and 2.
Also from that same Official structure sheet:

"The Rio reserves the right to alter or change the schedule..."

LOL, way not to quote the entire sentence. "... in order to play the tournament in the above mentioned timeframe." Which any reasonable person would have understood as saying that there's no way to know exactly how many levels it will take to get down to certain points in terms of numbers of players so they may play more or less levels on a given day later on in the tournament in order to stay on track -- not that they would cut a level off of Days 1 and 2. They probably will have to rely on that sentence to play more levels than scheduled later on to make up for this bull****.

Made quads vs Raymer caught on ESPN I think. Also took a big pot with AK when he 3-barreled air.

My goal for after dinner is:

Fossilman's fossil>bankwire>ATM>titties

38K

Shaun effin deeb is crushing table next to me.

lol dinner break at 4:30, are you serious? really stupid.

I've lost 150 chips from starting stack after two levels, but my table's pretty soft

Andrew Feldman on ESPN's WSOP blog is saying there's a rumor is that the Day 1c and 1d crowd will play 5 levels, then play 4 levels on day 2b. The Day 1a and b players will then be playing 5 levels on day 2a to even up the fields.

Thanks for the correction in the post below.

Just to nit-pick...fixed a Kevmath post?

Or maybe I'm dumb.

You're doing it wrong.

Oh, and incidentally, is Harrah's allowed to just completely make **** up as they go along, i.e., just arbitrarily deciding to switch the amount of levels played each day despite what they post? Sounds like an issue for gaming...

Adjustments may be made to the number of levels played each day.
along with this from their 2009 WSOP rules:

18. Harrah’s may cancel, modify, relocate or reschedule the WSOP or any individual event within the WSOP for any reason with prior notification to the appropriate gaming regulators, to the extent such is required.

This is really a complete joke.

I'm sure Todd's issue (among other things) is that they're changing the schedule with little notice twice in 3 days (if this rumor is true) when they knew in advance that days 1c and 1d had the most registrants. They should have had the foresight to know they would run into a problem if they only played 4 levels on day 1 and they're forced to have tables all over the place to accommodate the overflow crowd.
07-04-2009 , 11:05 PM
I just don't understand why the 4 level change was made in the first place.
07-04-2009 , 11:09 PM
Day 1b - 873 entrants.
07-04-2009 , 11:10 PM
What's sad is that most likely, this was a knee-jerk reaction to the "low" entry amount of Days 1a and 1b (which have come in at a combined total of 1,989). A baseless fear that by the end of Day 2a, having played a combined total of 10 levels, that the field would end up at a drastically low number and cause worries of prematurely arriving at the money bubble, when very basic napkin math and common sense dictates that there was absolutely 0% chance of that occurring.
