Hello all,

In regards to the $10,000 chips in play...that's all on me. When I was taking out the chips to set up for day one, myself and another supervisor took the chips out of the rack and examined them against eachother. Now, I don't know if I have better eyes, if my lighting was better, or if not being actually in the game made the difference, but both of us thought there was enough distinction between the chips.

We do have enough red chips, I just didn't think they were necessary. Obviously, a mistake, and for that I apologize to all. We have two more chip sets on the way and hopefully they will be here for April so this doesn't happen again.

Again, this was all on me...and I apologize whole-heartedly and it won't happen again.


As far as those two rulings go...

Ruling #1

Our rules state, "Action out of turn is binding, unless the action in front of it changes". If the player who was acted out of turn against is armed with that information, it gives he/she a free shot to manipulate the hand the way they want it to go. That is why we, at first, will only ask the player, "Act, and then we'll let you know" (to try and keep the hand as fair as possible). However, because this is a rule that is 'common knowledge', if the player requests for a second time to know the rule, we will then inform him appropriately.

I understand that this seems odd, but I can assure you all that it is in the fairness of the game. If we can get the player to act without getting too much information as to what will happen to the other player's chips, so be it. But we can't withhold the rule from him/her.

Ruling #2

The floor person was semi-right...Once the next hand has started all
rulings and disputes are, basically, null and void. HOWEVER, the floor who was called to the table should have over-ridden that rule and, in the fairness of the game, with the information provided, given the 7000 chips back.

So, that's that...gotta get set up for day 3 now.
