What is this stalemate? What prevents a red Pro from having talks with PS and eventually making a switch? Seems like PS could make more enticing offers (esp. if FTP is really doing nonsense lioke this).

a dumb idea by FTP, and I thought it would work the other way around, where Stars would ban FTP pros form playing given how much risk they are taking by running the tourney on U.S. soil and not wanting to give any exposure to FTP... imagine if 3 FTP pros make the televised final table? LOL

but seriously in a soft field like this I can't imagine the red pros are below average. Are you thinking the average player is that good or the average red pro is that bad because I'd expect the average red pro to be a decent(for live) TAGfish with a fair amount of leaks which is kinda the average reg in these things so I'd think no difference

Meh all I can say for sure is that one red pro I know explicitly asked and was told he is allowed to play the NAPT Venetian. I don't know what their policy is going forward or anything like that...

At the LAPC today this exact topic came up. The FTP pros there admitted to not being allowed to play in the 25K high roller, but said they are free to play in the 5K main event.

This sounded odd since both are televised.

Big difference between the V banning people from playing vs. FTP saying "you can't play or there will be contractual issues with your sponsorship deal".

One would be clearly illegal (other than ladies events, I guess...) the other would not.
