You cry more than a 2 yr old little girl with a wet diaper. You do realize that every tournament has a structure sheet. Obviously someone like "you" should take a look at it. If you do look at it and still play then S T F U! If you dont look at it and play then S T F U! Either way Kessler, S T F U!

Hi All,

Poker Tatsu - post #500 -

"The party runs from 8pm-10pm with an open bar, food and entertainment. The club opens at 10pm, after which it becomes a cash bar. I have heard that the artist playing the party will also be doing a DJ set later in the evening, so it promises to be a fun (possibly epic) night.

There are lots of reasons to come to the party, and we hope to announce one more in the next few days."

The extra reason to attend the party is we will be having T-Pain playing the party

"Fans of hip-hop are in store for something very special as Grammy Award winning artist T-Pain will perform an exclusive live set at the PokerStars.net NAPT Ventian Welcome Party.

T-Pain will be performing at the PokerStars.net NAPT Venetian launch party, taking place at Tao Nightclub, on Friday 19th, which runs until 10pm.

The artist, whose hits include the Grammy Award winning single "Good Life" with Kanye West, and his most recent single "Reverse Cowgirl" featuring Young Jeezy, has been causing a sensation in the charts."

So enjoy our food, our drinks and an amazing performance by T-Pain!!! at Tao on February 19th! (Thanks Kevmath )

Fatal / Kevmath - The NAPT version is correct. 8 handed play on Day 3. It will play out exactly like the PCA. 10/9 handed Day 1 and 2 as needed and 8 handed from Day 3 (or two tables before the money if we hit the money on Day 2).

Raine - #530 - For NAPT Venetian (and Mohegan Sun) you can only buyin through Pokerstars with T$ if you are platinum star or higher. Just email Registrations@pokerstars.com . Online Reg has now closed though for NAPT Venetian. The only way to buy in for that event now is to do so through the Venetian.

2005 - #538 - ROFLMFAO But you were good! Amazing performance!! When we give you 12 hours to prepare for your 3 seconds...you freakin' nail it!!!

Cheers All,

Neil

The same $25k they're doing at the Venetian, except they haven't announced the 2nd half of the scheduled yet?

NeilJ:

These $25K turbo shootouts are awful. Yes, 40 minutes live is effectively a turbo. And shootouts, despite the fact that Daniel Negreanu likes to play them, are much less popular than normal MTTs. I and other people to whom I've spoken who at least thought about playing in them have zero interest. Which if you're essentially running infomercials for Stars is probably ideal, but if you're trying to run legitimate poker events with these $25Ks I'd recommend changing them drastically.

Hi All,

Shaun - post #568 - See below...

11 2,500 ~ 5,000 500
12 Tournament Director Discretion

150,000 Stack - 60 minute levels

FINAL TABLE
1 600 ~ 1,200 100
2 800 ~ 1,600 200
3 1,000 ~ 2,000 300
4 1,200 ~ 2,400 300
5 1,500 ~ 3,000 400
6 2,000 ~ 4,000 500

10 6,000 ~ 12,000 1,000
11 8,000 ~ 16,000 2000
12 10,000 ~ 20,000 3,000
13 Tournament Director Discretion

Preliminary Tables – 15 minute break every three levels.
Final Table – 15 minute break every two levels.

That is the structure for the 25K at the Venetian. Please note the Venetian Event is an "Invitational" Made for TV Event. There will be Shootouts at many, if not all of the NAPT Season 1 Stops with a $10,000 buyin and a different structure.

Todd - #563 - The MS NAPT Schedule will be released this week. I can tell you that the Shootout will run the 11th - 13th with filming on the 12th and 13th (Main Event Final Table filming on 11th). It is also a $10K not $25K.

Todd - #565 - There are a number of reasons behind the Bounty Shootout Events. Firstly, all of our tournament decisions are not made by Daniel Negreanu. He is very active in our tours and our Live Events but we have many pros and many industry professionals with years / decades of experience who are all collaborating on these ideas. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback from players about this idea and we think it is going to be very successful as a "Secondary" Event at the NAPT Season 1 Tour Stops. These were not designed to replace any MTT's, they were designed to create a new and fun tournament for all of our Live Events players.

In addition, by teaming with ESPN, we will be bringing something new and unique to poker television in the U.S. The way these events are being filmed, you will be able to watch two full prelim tables play to completion and then the final table. So rather than a steady progression through a Main Event to a final table and winner, you will get the chance to watch three full tables play from start to finish. It is a format that hasn't been seen on TV before and we think it will make for some very fun and entertaining shows.

Cheers All,

Neil

loooooooooool that structure or horrendous, i was honestly considering playing the $500 satty for it if it looked like a decent field, but f that. i don't wanna play that tournament if that's the structure. </chainsaw moment>

40 minute levels is just way too short, I don't think there's any way to defend that. This is especially true if it's televised -- people play slower, if there's an all-in they do it in slow motion to build drama for TV, etc. The WSOP $1500 shootout event has a much better structure than this. I can't believe anyone actually gave positive feedback after seeing that structure.

neil, that format of playing the whole show is nothing new. they have aired many poker tournaments on FSN that were complete broadcasts. poker after dark i'm pretty sure airs 100% of the hands, or at least very close to it.

if that's the ONLY reason you created such a horrible structure for this event, change it and just let them chop up the broadcast. add a bunch of levels and make it 60 min blinds. i mean, invitational, ok, but ppl are still paying $25k, no? why do you subjectthem to such a horrendously structured event?

Shootout structure is perfect if you make players have max 2mins timebank.
