They better be zero since they said in this thread they'd have no problem accomodating everyone and then only after pre-registration through the Venetian was closed did they say there was going to be a cap. I'm registering Friday night, not particularly worried about it.

At 30 hands per hour and 10 handed all of day 1 (god i hope we arent 10 handed all day) you could sit out all day and still have 10k left for day 2. Then using optimal shove/fold strat you should bust aprox. 35 mins into day 2.

But you can still come here and say you made it to day 2!

The Venetian NAPT structure is slightly different than the EPT structure on the website (http://www.europeanpokertour.com/tournaments/structure/). The EPT structure has some lower antes at many levels (300/600/50, 400/800/75 for example -- ironically the same small ante levels that Daniel railed against at the Bellagio and then wrote about in his "Pansy Ante Poker Tour" blog), is the posted EPT structure still in effect for the other EPT events?

haha nope but that's funny. there were at least 2 of those at my table, however.

found it interesting that in the 6.5 hours of play before i busto, there was always at least one woman at my table. for the good part of the day there were 2 or 3.

The EPT Structure will be reviewed at the end of Season 6, after Monte Carlo. I can see a small tweak or two, but it has really played fantastically for us. In Season 5, we were averaging roughly 30BB per final table and in Season 6 the average is 50BB at the final table.

As for the pansy blinds, that's my fault. The structure was designed using tons of math by some of our players and using the math, those 4/8 levels had 600 and 6000 antes, which obvious are useless. When building the structure, we decided to give a little more play and for those 3 levels went with 500 instead of 1K, 5K instead of 10K etc... So, ironically, we went with the lower ante trying to give a little slower bump and have been told probably 70/30 that they should be higher. I imagine they will be fixed for Season 7.

When we did the structure for NAPT / PCA, Mike Ward (our NAPT / PCA / LAPT TD) didn't like those small antes there either so we changed them for the NAPT and PCA.

something about the venetian maybe? in the prelims I played this summer I noticed the same thing, even deep into the tournaments

you're guess is better than mine as i don't have tons of live experience.

french chick was solid and could play.

hot brunette from chicago was on the short stack but knew what she was doing and got it in good to 2x up.

grandma, however, was god awful and 4 bet 15k covering and all-in forcing a guy w/ 99 to fold...only to table T8o. she looks down and says "oh gosh - i thought i had two tens" kid w/ the 9s was pissssssssed. obv shes a pro and it was some insane meta game thing that is above my pay grade.
