Hi All,
There has been some debate about the $25,000 "Invitational" High Roller Bounty Shootout PokerStars.net and the Venetian are holding on the 23rd. Here are all of the general facts...
1. 64 player cap on the event - done because this event was designed specifically as a Launch "Invitational" Event for filming. Future Shootouts will be open.
2. We reserved all seats for players we invited to participate, hence the term "Invitational".
3. Any remaining seats after the “Invitations” have been handled are "open". Any of you wishing to play, please contact us at
napt@pokerstars.net or
info@napt.com for seat availability.
3. It will air on
ESPN2 as will all the NAPT Events (including the World Cup, PCA Main Event and PCA High Roller just filmed in January).
4. Just a few of the players confirmed to play, Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Barry Greenstein, Tony G, Etc...
Specifics about the event...
1. $25,000 Buy in with a $600 fee, $300 of the fee for Tournament Staff.
2. All players will have a $5,000 Bounty on them from their $25K buy in.
3. Played as a shootout. A single winner from each prelim table advances to the Final Table.
4. All preliminary stage winners get a minimum $50,000 for their win (based on total number of players).
5. Prelims are 25K stack, 40 min levels starting 100/200/25
6. Final Table is 150K stack, 60 min levels starting 600/1200/100
7. The Final Table is played Winner Take All!
8.
PokerStars.Net is giving a $100,000 cash award to the player who collects the most individual bounties.
As an example, since Shaun said he wants a seat
. 48 players playing six, eight handed tables. SFD busts all 7 at his prelim table and all 5 at the Final Table to win the event. SFD collects $75K for winning prelim table (based on 48 players), $60K for 12 bounties, $5K for his own unclaimed bounty and $510,000 for winner take all 1st place. PLUS, $100,000 from PokerStars.net for being the best Bounty Hunter! Out of a $1.2 Million prize pool SFD wins $650K plus $100K added by PokerStars.net... /dream sequence
To clear up a couple of other questions... There is a Super Satellite at the Venetian on the 22nd, but it is one seat guaranteed not three. Due to this being a Made for TV Tournament with fixed caps and all of the “Invitations” that have been sent out, we can’t guarantee three seats for the Super, only one. Also, we are playing this under hard cap numbers due to it being filmed, i.e. 36, 40, 42, 45, 48, etc... We will not allow unbalanced tables for this first “Invitational” Event.
Any questions please let me know.
Cheers,
Neil
