In the summer we drew over 950 for a $300. I am absolutely confident that we will be able to accomodate everyone who wants to play. We have actually NEVER shut anyone out from a DSE event. There have been times when the alternate list has been very long and players thought they would get shut out, but we still got everyone in. It is entirely possible that we will have to seat alternates, so if you don't want to be one...register early. And, yes, you will be blinded off as an alternate (of course, with 30,000 chips and the worst possible blind off of about 2,000, it doesn't really matter).

In the first two events we got 422 and 372.

well you realize that alternates are not an option when 90% of the field will still be in after 5 hours?

Gd, just got to Venetian and saw today is a $550 event. That's too much for my roll. I sold 1/3 of myself to my pops and was planning on playing the $340. WRong day. JFC. I'm leaving Vegas tomorrow too, so I can't really play tomorrows event.

Edit: anyone want to stake a brother? I played regularly in college but since 07-08 I've been more of a recreational player. Older posters may remember me.

I called the poker room last night and the staffer told me today was a $340. M'fer.

thnks! buyin was about threefitty. the trophy is really nice and heavy. they should showcase them. we played from noon to 2am (14 hours minus the 1h dinner break). then 18 players came back for 4 hours the next day.

before i brag some more, ill say these dse series are awesome and are ran very well. official payouts were 24 14 9 6. no serious chop talk before heads up began. i initiated the discussions and settled for a save. we left a low 4 fig and the trophy to play for.

The 560 today got only like 140 players. But the fields will be much bigger later this week for Super Bowl weekend. I'm expecting 500+ for the 350 on Friday.

pre registering online seems like a safe way to prevent that.

With the Super Bowl coming to town, I'd say it starts getting busier as the weekend draws closer...my guess 100.
