Right SNG wiz hud then

so right now i've just got a prototype i whipped up in an afternoon. it's an AHK script that sits int he background, it keeps checking for a sng wiz game. when it finds one, it polls the HEM database and pulls out the hud stats, and displays. it gets the data up there within about 0.5 seconds of the sng wiz game loading. these hud boxes can be moved around and position saved.

so let me know if you think this would be useful and what you would want to see... i think getting a basic thing working for me is gonna be easy, but it will take a while to get it ready for public consumption. do you honestly think it would be worth say 20 bucks for something more polished? if not i might just throw it out there unpolished and let other's hack it to get it working.

things that will be easy to add:

- any of the 80 or so "basic" hem hud stats (inc blind defense, etc)
- hem note and icon (this will be esp. useful when HEM autorate feature comes out)
- moving stats around, saving position, tranparency
- also dunno if you guys would prefer this automatic (hud loads on every wiz game), or it requires an action to fire (hit a special button/hotkey to load up the hud)

hard things to do

- ability to configure the hud like you can in HEM. basically i'm just looking for 1 or 2 hardcoded set ups, and/or you have to edit the top of the script to select font, hud color, transparency etc
- ability to set up filtering - its quite easy to do (filtering by position, blind level, # of players is easy to do from a db point of view) but hard from a setup/interface. again something hardcoded is easy (filter to 2, 3, 4-9 players is easy), an interface to configure it all is hard.

edit: also PT3 support would be possible but unless there's real demand not something i wanna do, dont use it and i dont know how many stters use it

*&^ Freaking Stars $16s have so many grinders...it's a joke, so many knowledgeable players...causing me yet another 20 buy-in downswing..

It's like down 20 buyins..slowly crawl back, drop another 20 buyins, crawl back..repeat and makes me wonder if I can beat the $16s. Previously rather comfortable with FTP $12s and $24s but Stars $16s seem like Mount Everest...

dude not to dick swing beats but like 20 posts above you there's a graph of 180 buyins below expectation, do you really feel your 20 buyin downswing is particularly relevant here, if you need to vent after that you'll kill yourself when you have a proper downswoon

Sorry for the rant earlier, and thanks for the constructive criticism above. It's just that I've been steadily bleeding money for a month or so...and its not just 20 buyins. (that's part of the story). And you're used to pokey money to pay some of the bills.

Hood you're right, it can be much worse..

Bones you're probably right too. That's why I'm moving my roll out of stars and to another site..a fresh beginning.

Time for more study and less ranting.

I was on a ds in january and its continuing this month and eventhough it seems that Im running under ev according to the hem's luck factor thingy, I think that Im bleeding too and need to analyze and improve my game too.

ok so mid june family trip to prague, vienna, budapest, 10 days or so, ending in budapest.

i want to take 3-5 extra days at the end of trip and go someplace else without them.

suggestions about where is cool to go around there? i like beaches, but don't really care if there aren't any wherever i go, i can do historical stuff, food tourism, partying tourism, hiking, whatever. (hiking might be harder since i'll have baggage for a 14 day trip with me.)

if youre still near vienna when your separate from your family,and im around you can contact me for sure.
beach will rather be a problem in central europe lol,but theres a nice isle on the danube in vienna with a lots of naked people,smoking,drinking,basically just realxing in summer and events goin on in the nights

Yeah I havent really done any table selecting. I just reg into every game with FTshortcuts pressing the hotkey :P.. Should not play in the same games with u!
