So does the new luck feature in HM do the same thing as Jukofyorks program? And has anyone played with it yet?

Re: *** Official STTf February kakkendaaliluukku Thread - No lame BBV ***

so sttf, im thinking about mixing in cash into my game, mainly because the way i have to play now with my new job means playing in spurts, so i feel like i sometimes rush through a set of sngs because i have time crunches.

a) is this a good enough reason to play more cash, or should i manage my time better?
b) whats a decent backroll i should have for say nl10 or nl25?
c) im planning to try 2 tabling later today, whats a reasonable goal for # of tables per set?
d) aside from reading the cash thread and forum, which i have been lurking, most basic advice to cross back and forth between cash and sngs?

Grumpy old man isn't about your actual age. It's about a state of mind, a way of being. It's about saying I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE, then making that -$EV call and showing the whole world you mean it.

feature works fine for me - i tested it today after playing 48 games and running really bad - only ran 18 buyins below expectation

Apparently every single reg I play with hates me/thinks I'm awful.

Any ideas why? I might start losing sleep over this.

a) is this a good enough reason to play more cash, or should i manage my time better?yeah, It sounds like good reason. Even if you are better at sngs , it will only benefit you to learn cash. If you dont play poker for a living then I dont think you should manage your time/life around poker
b) whats a decent backroll i should have for say nl10 or nl25? not an expert here but i would say 50 buyins should be fine
c) im planning to try 2 tabling later today, whats a reasonable goal for # of tables per set? It depends on how many tables you normal play.If you normally play 6+ sngs at once, you should be able to handle at least 4 tables. Just play as many as you are comfortable on, you dont want to force the action.
d) aside from reading the cash thread and forum, which i have been lurking, most basic advice to cross back and forth between cash and sngs?
play position , locate teh fihs

Good thing for a certain(s) STTF'r that Patrik also runs bad in Omaha when he gets it in as a favorite - and runs it 4 times...

a) you can do this for any reason you want imo
b) 20-25 buyins at those levels is fine imo
c) your goal should not center around number of tables when you're getting started. Your goal should be to pay attention to the other players and figure out who to exploit/how to exploit them, and figure out when to leave a table if it isn't any good (this isnt likely to happen at the low stakes).
d) do what mjace says for d - play position - lots more hands in position, especially when you can play them vs a fish. And figure out who is easy to exploit and do it, primarily from position.

Verizon phone question:
If I buy a new phone on Ebay or similar site that is not an official retailer but I already have a phone under contract with Verizon, will they transfer my service to the new phone with no problem?

Thanks

Mine auto-updates but good advice for those that don't have it enabled.

p.s. My apologies to anyone who plays at my tables in the next week. Gonna be real b*tthole for a change of pace.....

Mine updates automatically too. I dont know about XP or other operating systems, but there's a check box to automate this in Vista.

oh, btw, being a 16s grinder doesnt seem like an insult to me TFG.
Hourly can be ok if you multitable and variance/rake are the big upsides of those games.
so meh don't feel insulted, swinging multiple k amounts at 60s/55s isn't as much fun as some people imagine it.

For someone who claims to have matured greatly over a few years, you sound exactly the same.

Start thread/post about how group of people on that forum are making a mistake by doing whatever they're successfully doing. Lots of hand-waving and condescending tones. Someone calls you out on it, you refer to how successful/wealthy you are irl (which nobody cares about) and how whatever marginal success you're having in poker is awesome because of your other life awesomeness.
