QFT!

I was watching this all go down in real time last night. The IRC #stt chat room was hilarious! We were all watching it, commenting and joking about what a huge cluster-beep it was... Stars blew this one badly.

There's a fairly recent thread about this in STTF. Let me look.
I think the processor might be part of the problem as well. A 3GHZ P4 is pretty weak these days. You want a solid processor and a solid HD.

If you do get a new machine, I'd get 4 GB of RAM at least. 2 is probably not your problem currently, but RAM is so cheap that there is no reason not to get at least 4 if you get a new machine.

If you end up looking at any higher end stuff, definitely check the computer & technical forum. I have some opinions about mixing certain video cards with 64 bit operating systems (cliff notes - do not mix 64 bit Vista with ATI cards). Also I would avoid buying any Patriot memory. PM me if you want more details and/or recommendations.

Job hunting nowadays sucks. Applied for a basic entry level (for college grads at least) position with the YMCA. They had to take the job down after 4 days because they had over 175 people apply for a 28k a year job. Needless to say, I didn't get an interview.

If I thought poker would be a reliable source of income forever I'd just say screw it and make my 35-40k a year playing poker. But noooo, I have to be a square and want an actual CAREER. Bleh.

Rant. Over.

I'll give you an interview.

Should I wear a chastity belt to this interview for my own protection?

does anyone here have a decent sample of super tubo sngs? i'm wondering what a reasonable, sustainable roi would be in them... I tried searching but can't find anything. Thx

I've played a couple:

14% over 4275 $3.8s
10% over 7825 $7.5s
.01% over 1725 $15s

haven't played them in a while and I've heard from a few regs that they've seemed to have gotten a bit tougher the past couple months.

Well, one of these might come in handy.

I think you're having one conversation and I'm having another...or you're into some particularly kinky games.

Dave - Think of it as a jock-strap for contractors. Sort of like a thong for use on rooftops and port-a-potties, etc.
02-17-2009 , 12:26 AM
Dave, you're looking for a job, so I offered you an interview. Maybe they would do something kinky with their safety harnesses at the YMCA. I just use them to keep from falling off of steep roofs.
02-17-2009 , 12:34 AM
Haha I've done roofing before. I'm not a fan of steep roofs, even with a harness.

I'm also not a fan of roofing when it's 90 degrees.
02-17-2009 , 12:46 AM
Ok, not the job for you, though it's installing solar electric systems, not exactly roofing. The work is pretty physically demanding for young kids. Maybe when you get to be 40 or so, you'll be able to handle it.

I have no desire to ever get on a roof again, trust me. And there's not enough sun in lovely Ohio for you to be expanding into my neck of the woods.
