I was like 24 tabling 1/2 and 2/4 during the milestone and playing so bad not piecing together that everyone else was nitting it up because they're playing 200 tables too. So I ran some pretty good hands that I folded into the nuts a few times to get down into a pretty big downswing quick. Luckily the tables were really soft after the milestone hit and I managed to grind to even
02-16-2009 , 06:57 AM
I was at some $1/2 tables playing like a passive nit fish.
02-16-2009 , 07:34 AM
I was 12 tabling PLO25, won like $50, great game
02-16-2009 , 07:43 AM
lol my post should obviously read "pretty good hands that I should have folded"
02-16-2009 , 01:05 PM
How many people were playing when the lottery happened? Did it get over 300k?

I am at a loss at how those of you who grind on FTP haven't thrown your computers out a window yet. I just finished a very productive 9-tabling sesh and completed a total of 10 games b/c had I played anymore I think my heart would've exploded.

I have full-tilt shortcuts and have a bunch of stuff automated but the lag is still so bad I'm not sure If I can do it. If anyone has ideas on how to improve performance i'd appreciate it.

Never experienced any lag on FTP. Oh wait, once, when they weren't prepared for the FTOPS Event #1 with 5k+ entrants and everything asploded.

I guess it isn't so much lag as clunkiness. Tables don't necessarily steal focus but when active tables popup they kinda pop in and out of focus before locking into place on top. Also often when I press the 'max' button for an all-in bet it will initially work but then revert to a less than AI bet but I think that's a FTS problem.

Nevermind I prolly just need to get used to it.

never experienced any of the problems you described.
Neither on my desktop with winxp nor on my laptop with vista.

weird.

I loved yesterday; it was the first ever Stars promotion I've worked at and not lost half my bankroll - double VPP months are the worst .... But the cash tables were so full of donks, and even then, I ran like a dog, according to HEM $EV = +15 buy-ins, but I'm not complaining about being up 8BI on the day in 7k hands.

How old is your computer? What are your processor, RAM and hard drive specs? Are you using HEM or PT2 or PT3? I used to have Full Tilt software issues on my old computer anytime I had over four games + PT2 running. I got a new computer and HEM & now I can play 12 tables with no software issues at all.

You ran at over 11 BBs/100 & still only won about half of your ev? Wow, those must have been juicy tables.

Yea my PC's a couple yrs old. Pentium 4 3.00GHz, 2GB RAM, I have a crappy 80gig hard drive cause I have a terabyte of network storage. WinXP Pro OS. I run HM and FTS alongside FTP.

Mods, if you delete a post would you be so kind as to PM the poster just so I don't spend 15 minutes wondering what's wrong with my PC/internet .... ty!

I always feel bad for the guys that finish their first high volume set and obviously ran bad...and it's Monday so their set score of like 550-600 for 100 games is prominently up there on the leader boards.

Ouch.

hard drive, hard drive, hard drive (or 2 good ones). You need an upgrade and a fairly inexpensive one at that. You could obviously go for a new computer but I would recommend having a very nice HD to go with it.

There's a fairly recent thread about this in STTF. Let me look.

scotty, I've always used betpot and it is easily customizable to have any key do whatever you want, and works on multible sites. if you decide to try it and need any help seting it up pm me.

I was real tired last night, had been up 20 hours, but decided it was dumb to not at least try for the 25 bil. The micro games were a mess, so I tried loading $25nl 6max tables and eventually got 18 running. I just randomly bet checked or folded mostly. I for sure shoved into the nuts many times and checked behind with the nuts at least twice. I told myself to nit up, then decided I just didnt care. Only lost $100 somehow. Lots of people where laughing at me and calling me an idiot so I would guess I probably had some sick suckouts

New thread for discussing comp specs in STTF related to SNGs and Multitabling:

btw, staying up for the 25 bil hand was so worth it. if you missed all the drama read the 25 bill hand thread in the internet forum starting when the 25 bil hand tables was selected, post 670. soooo worth the read, lol.

Just booked my first ever prop bet. Albeit it's massively -EV, bet on gravy to win @ 13-1 since although he's nowhere near yet he seems super bummed about losing the money and if he does just sleep and play he's got a chance imo.
one time plz.
