I think slacker is leveling or thought you meant pushups.

Pffft. CQ is a monster. Bicep pull-ups, he should be able to do at least 25 w/out stopping. Triceps... Maybe 15.

I can stand flat-footed in my living room and do ceiliing pushes for at least 10 minutes straight w/out stopping. And I'm an old, wimpy guy.

Oh, and here's a link about chin-ups just in case....

What is a ceiling push?

I'm pretty damned out of shape now, but even back in high school when I was in good shape and playing multiple sports I was never able to do more than 2 pullups

Stand flat-footed on the floor, place both palms on the ceiling and push up.

Bend your knees if you need extra leverage. Great exercise! Try it now and post pics if you can. It's soooooo cool.

I like this game.

I haven't seen BAR, but here's my list:

Fargo = Lebowski > Blood Simple > No Country > Man Who Wasn't There > Hudsucker (still under rated imo) > O Brother > Barton Fink > Not watching any movie at all > Losing at poker > Ladykillers > ... > um > Intolerable Cruelty...

Do I have an edge?
Should this challenge never take place due to obvious health risks?
He could bring in a 5 gal container of ice water? Seems like a very easy bet for him.

OTOH, if it's not a fairly easy bet neither of you should make it.

About to go stuff my face at Waffle House. If I don't make it back, AIM my wife for my SN and moniez.
02-13-2009 , 12:19 PM
You run good at life. Wish there were waffle houses in uk.

Ok kinda related to dream discussion - For the last week + I'm not having any real dreams. In my dreams I'm just playing stts and in pushbot mode. It's seriously stressing me out, it's like I just finish with the stress of real world variance and I now have dream variance tilting me.

Might have to cut down on the pokers.
02-13-2009 , 12:22 PM
Pretty sure poker dreams are an inherent part of playing poker many hours a day. It's just your subconscience continuing to solve problems. I'm in shove/fold mode every night while I sleep, and I don't put in near the volume you do.

You know you play too much poker when:

The cashier gives you change and you re-raise.

You see a license plate and think "Terrible flop".

The bell (DING) when your toast pops up sounds like the Stars "Your turn to act" tone....

There was a classic thread like this a couple of years ago. Funny stuff.

Anybody shop on giltgroupe? They have designer sales with a different brand almost every day that start at exactly noon ET. It's a mad rush to add items to your cart before your size is gone. They stay in your cart reserved for 10 minutes so you can check out. Multi-tablers have a big advantage in that respect.

Their Theory sale just started. If you're not signed up, use my link and I'll get $25 if you buy anything. Band of Outsiders and Ralph Lauren sales are next week.

Yea, I'd set my over under at 2 as well. I'm in decent shape from playing hockey 3 or 4 times a week all winter, but I'm still over weight. 240lbs is a lot to lift off the ground.
02-13-2009 , 01:44 PM
10 bicep pullups just now. I thought I'd be able to do a few more, but I haven't really tried for at least a few years.
