Spoiler:
OMG I SAYF TEH PREZ-scene: shooting once and then lying yourself on the ground achieves the same thing as shooting three times and exposing yourself to Secret Service Gunfire minus the risk of getting shot...

Taken was quite nice tho.

Eagle Eye was insanely bad IMO.

The action sequences were... action sequences. I mean yeah they grab your attention but even the action seqs were really stupid.

The whole movie was awful, corney, and unrealistic. Now I don't mean unrealistic as in something that couldn't happen in real life - because obv just about every movie has something like that... but I mean the things that happened in this movie just make you go "wtf, that is so ******ed, that makes no sense".
This movie seems like they just quickly picked out a concept, and wrote the entire thing in a weekend and started filming.

SIIIIIGH

Jurrass, yeah Taken was bad-ass

Do you (or anyone) have a FT SNGWiz structure set up to do the (rough) ICM calcs? I'm curious how much it varies from 45-mans, etc.
02-26-2009 , 03:31 AM
Well I just Wized them and they're both super close. So meh. He needs to be shoving a lot of crappy aces for the AJ call to be good. I just didn't get that feeling unless he picked right then to switch gears. He still had 10BB and bigstack was calling loose and picking off people one by one. (Notice the A5o flatcall with 2 left to act.)

Heard an absolutely hilarious quote today.

Me and a buddy are eating breakfast while waiting to head to our next class. A buddy of my friends comes up and sits down, starts talking, etc. etc.

Apparently this friends dad is going to Kuwait sometime soon and friend D emerges. D says "dude, isn't the the capital of Kuwait Kuwait?" and sits back like he has shed some kind of light on us.

I am study for a test so I think nothing but then friend C says "um yeah dude, not that surprising, I mean, New York, New York?!?!?" and sat back like he made friend D feel like a dumbass.

@ this point I almost burst into laughter. Was I wrong for letting this guy (and everyone else) think NYC is the capital of New York?

Email support@pokerstars.com and follow their directions (including sending your log files to support)

They'll help to figure out where the problem is, and how to overcome it.

Generally, don't use wireless internet connections.

QFT. This applies to all 'continuous' internet services like gaming, IP telephony, video streaming, etc.

Basically, the internet isn't designed for continuous connections that are needed for interactive gaming, and packets of information are lost along the way. When you're web browsing, or AIM chatting, this isn't a noticeable problem - your browser or AIM will just re-request the information, and you don't even notice the delay.

However, for interactive gaming, this doesn't work so well... if enough packets are lost, you can get disconnected and then the service has to re-establish a connection. Since that activity is time sensitive to a few seconds, you notice it.

This is why youtube and video streaming services establish a buffer and download a chunk before it actually starts playing - if you create a lead time in the download, even if you are temporarily disconnected, you normally won't notice it since the play speed is constant.

Think of it like a hypothetical train driving along the train tracks, while the train tracks are still being built. If the construction has a lead time, and the train generally moves at the same speed as the construction, then you won't notice any interference for the workers taking time off for lunch or whatever. However, if the train is at the very front of the construction, then it'll have to keep stopping and starting everytime more train track is laid.

The world record for pull ups is 46 in 1 minute. I just did 25 in 30 seconds, the exact same way as done in the world record video. If I can manage to break the record and get into the Guinness book, I can haz custom title?

This. I emailed them about connection issues I was having totally expecting a standard reply like 'have you tried power cycling your equipment?' But they actually knew a thing or two and problem was solved.

60 seconds... pffft

If you get the 24 hour record, that's something us grinders can identify with and salute accordingly.

p.s. plz don't hurt me

Hey, I just noticed something. In FT's KO tournies, if you chop the pot on an elimination, neither players get a KO reward. So where does that money go? It doesn't increase the prize pool and each person has a bounty on their head...so is this just a FT scam?

Sorry, I logged off after my post and now I'm at work for the day. If you don't get it worked out PM your aim and we'll set up a time where you can log into my desktop and see all my HEM settings.

Hello Brandon,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, we are unable to increase your table limits as they are already set at the maximum number allowed.

You can play up to eight tables on Full Tilt Poker at the same time, and these tables can include ring games, Sit & Gos, and multi-table tournaments.

Good luck at the tables, and if there's anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.

Regards,

Robert

.... great support ftp, great.

Do I even try to explain to this guy that he can up my limit from 8 tables?..
02-26-2009 , 01:26 PM
Wtf lol. The max limit is (obv.) 16. I didnt even know they can limit your tables to 8. When I started on FTP, I could play 12.

Geean online poker site scamming its customerswho'd a thunk it.

You missed the part where they "take" the K.O. bonus from every player, but do not "award" the final KO to the tourney winner

Ugh, I'm trying to buy HEM like you guys suggested...but I don't use neteller or paypal, and I can only transfer from Stars.

Waiting to hear back from support...can't believe they can't get a player account on Stars to transfer money to, and don't take credit/debit card info.

Ah never mind, the link the software takes you to doesn't have CC option. But there's an option on the main page for it.
