It's Saturday so for some reason that means they can't tell if they take my insurance or not. Receptionist says you should have told us you had insurance. I say I did tell you you said no problem. ... Which means I have to pay and they will reimburse me if they take my insurance. I elect to skip the $250 biopsy and just keep an eye on it. Also knowing that was my last week of work.

Now it seems to be fading a little but I'm pretty sure I have sarcoma just because that's the effed up sequence of events that usually happens when these things play out. "If only you had come in 3 months earlier..."

Of course now I have no insurance so if I pay and find out it's sarcoma then I have a pre-existing condition. But if I get insurance and then immediately run in and get this looked at, and it turns out to be something serious, that's cherry picking and they will probably investigate.

Fun.
Suzzer - I'd pay the $250 and have it cut off if I were you - especially if there is any history of cancer in your family. I had one removed from my back a few years ago and it was pre-cancerous. They got rid of it all, so no big deal.

My dad ignored symptoms of colon cancer for six months. When he finally went in to get it looked at, it was the size of a baseball. Three years & 14 surgeries later (several major surgeries, including losing 2/3 of his lower intestines and having brain surgery), after the cancer had spread all over his body, including liver, lungs and brain, he died. Seeing it first hand, I cant imagine a more miserable way to go. BTW - the doctors told him if he had got it checked out when he first noticed the symptoms, it would have been one minor outpatient surgery to take care of it.

$250 is well worth the piece of mind, even if you cant afford it imo.

Well $250 is just the biopsy to see if it's something bad. No idea how much cutting it out would cost. For some reason I have this fear I have male breast cancer. That would suck.

Lol, this guy is at my 24$'s

ElkDINGo 170 $303 $1,397 14% $51,505 Games <500$

He has gotten most if not all his profits from 1k+ HU sngs. Guess he took "a shot", cashed out or went busto.

Interesting I know :O

suzzer dont be a nit , check it out, nothing more important than your health, money is useless if your gna die of cancer, knowing either way is ftw imo

Well if I don't know about it before I get insurance, then it's not a pre-existing condition. That is the concern. Also it seems to be going down.

Same boat for me. Trying to get a full time job w/ full benefits instead of poker + crap insurance.

Don't want to find anything before I can switch insurance...

so i just copy/pasted eagles OP

I'm not going to say NCAA>NBA one way or another, since I watch both, enjoy both, and follow both religiously, but I will disagree with some of what you said.

A lot of college basketball is much more of a full court game. They incorporate presses, man-on-man and different defensive schemes than the NBA since the level of athleticism is lower in college. This allows the superior players to score more, especially on fast breaks, turnovers, etc... And that among other things is one of the key factors that makes college basketball so exciting.

NBA is much more slowed down, big men are posting up, the offenses are slowing the games down, and the defenses are playing a zone. I like this strategical warfare.

The variation in the types/caliber of different college players allow for a more dynamic and fluid game.

It's also a lot of fun going to an ACC school and sitting front row at all of the games.

Just my .02

Ran good and didn't have cancer. Gonna have 2 moles taken off at a later date though, just to be safe. $250 is super cheap to be safe, like cha said. I hate poker analogies, look at it like the cost of a few buyins to avoid a masssssive life downswing.

I have hem setup, i believe I have a good chunk of HH imported, but when i click on the show luck adjusted winnings, the red graph basically just sits below the green one, its almost hard to see because they sit one on top of the other, whichi would seem pretty weird for several thousand game samples

Also I love both nba and college ball, both for different reasons. I think alot of the nba players get too complacent, where as the college players need to prove themselves to get drafted and become financially set for life.

Lets just all be friends and watch the nets/sixers final second from lastnight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0afz7lz7KGM

On that thought, can the nets run better in games with insane finishes? Yes I was there

fwiw a lot of people enjoy college because it's very similar to the high school game, which a lot of people have very fond memories of either playing or attendingi. NBA players are so ridiculously skilled that it's a bit difficult to relate to the game on a personal level. But obv almost anyone can appreciate how good they are and how incredibly talented and athletic NBA players are.

You have 2 options.
a) Create a new Database (Options -> Database Management, etc.) and import all your HHs.
b) wait for the final version of 1.08 which will have the "calculate EV for existing HHs" feature. ie. no new database and reimport needed.
02-24-2009 , 04:46 PM
Option b sounds pretty worth it imo
02-24-2009 , 05:07 PM
meh just create a db and leave an import running overnight or w/e, make up in the morning new database! only downer is you lose your hem notes, if you use em

Well the table selection pact lasted about 2 days at the $27s.

I'm loading behind regs, come back 2 mins later and it's 7,7,6,5,4,4,4,4,4,4,3,2 on my set of 12.

Geniuses.

I became software development manager recently and I have to fire someone for the first time. I feel sick about it and like a huge vag.

Anybody who's done this before have any tips?
02-24-2009 , 05:47 PM
Passive aggressively bait the person into an argument. That's what girls do before they dump you. Then your employee can spend the entire Great Depression II regretting his decision to get into it with you.
02-24-2009 , 05:50 PM
I don't know if you could ever effectively come to a meaningful long-term arrangement with other regs when it comes to table selection; but just firing up SFSO w/o any regard for who's already regged for the next 10 sngs is pretty fkn stupid. It's not like it's hard to tell when a certain level is reg infested for that particular 5-minute interval.

Lipo,

Stop avoiding me and get served on FIFA 09.

so a huge douchebag named manticore (manticoreFT on ftp) tried to get me banned from FTP by telling them that i used sharkscope in one of my videos. he always comments in my videos how much i suck and tells me im missing tons of shoves then in the last vid he said sharkscope is against TOS, mentioned that it would suck if i werent allowed to play super turbos anymore (sarcastically of course), and emailed them to ban me.

just wanted to vent and let everyone know what a massive dbag this guy is...

Call your whole team together and let them line up infront of you. now "everyone that has a job, please make one step forward" when they all move one step forward "err, not so fast [INSERT NAME HERE]".

easiest way imo.

BTW, could someone explain in like one or two sentences why stars and ftp banned sharkscope? I thought about it for like 30 minutes and couldn't come up with a reason that makes any sense at all. (Besides the FTP "we just want to be able to ban people for some reason"-reason)
02-24-2009 , 06:01 PM
braminc, obv. manticore is a huge d-bag. But imo this should serve as a good warning against using or mentioning SS in any vids. Yes everyone uses it. But if we validate that it just gives the crappy regs more license to berate the fish with it.
02-24-2009 , 06:09 PM
lol thanks for the helpful replies.

manticore is annoying, and that's a pretty lame thing to do. fk dat guy.
