okay so all-in luck graphs. this isn't a bad beat post honest, i was wondering how to read these numbers that HEM is kicking out to me. It's saying i am about 180 buyins below expectation over 3k SNGs. How "unlucky" have i been with all-ins? like is it "meh kinda unlucky, that be sngs" or is it "wtf riiiggged man you run unlucky at life lolz!", or somewhere inbetween?

-180 buyins seems pretty gross to me. But didn't we have a discussion a while ago about how these luck analyzer things aren't entirely accurate or something? Has the HM model improved upon the earlier analyzers?

im on internet at girlfriends atm, my internet got disconnected in an unconvential way.

woke up saturday afternoon, was seeing girlfriend out of my flat, then i saw an old woman in the pathway saying "is this your bike".
she was refering to the downstairs flats bike, which he ties up outside to the front of the house to all the cables for the house, internet/ phone /TV etc. she said the kid was trying to steal the bike, really chav looking kid. I looked at him, bike looked in tact, he was just playing with his fone so thought the old women was just a bit crazy, but after 10 seconds or so of the women blabbing on, he got up and called her a **** and ran away, so i went to where he was sitting and the little bastard had cut thru all the wires to get the bike free, which he had basically done so he only just missed out on the bike.
Police came etc cos that woman rang em, they have him on cctv etc so prob catch him, but if only i had looked closer i wouldve seen the marks and then couldve infllicted some pain, and headlocked himn while pounding down on his little skull. but obv i run bad and didnt decide to look.

anyway, cable coming out 2moro so should be back online, but seriously no internet is scary, its def the equivalent of going without food for 4 days, or water for 7 days.

i played some sngs over GF's 2nite and actually ran good for the first time in a while, so i guess thats good.

Good god, i would have thrown myself off the nearest bridge by now. Over a similar sample size I am running good by 20 buyins according to HEM.

I am not sure how much can be read into these luck analyser as there are loads of different forms of bad luck unrelated to showdowns. 180 buyins down in showdowns is sodding unlucky though.

If that luck graph is accurate then I'd say it's pretty goddarn gross. 6 roi points below expectation is very unlikely over 3k games I believe.

So if you need to take your girl to a "chick flick", I recommend "He's Just Not That Into You"

best way to get my past 3k/4k games in hem to show adjusted luck? I have the newest beta version and it is currently showing my adjusted luck(only 1 day worth tho since updated). thanks for help

Peru, I reluctantly decided to play today as well, with sunday's being my only losing day of the week over 6k games. I somehow am -10% roi lifetime on sundays in STT's, and lost my ass again today.

New Database, reimport. only way to do it for now.
In the final 1.08 version roy will implement a button to run calculations for already imported hands.

-180buyins below expectations is pretty gross tho. I once lost 50 buyins in allin luck in 190 games. that was a short unlucky streak, but imagining it would last 3k games... i'd kill myself after 1k games i think

The other day when you said you had your first losing day in 20+, I was going to tell you that you obv need to move up.

Now that you've lost 3 days in a row, I'll tell you that I had 7 winning days in a row playing 45/180s, and now I've lost 2 days in a row. It happens, it usually doesn't mean a whole lot.

You have 2 choices:
1) Keep playing
2) make a 10 million dollar deal

yeah that's pretty much it... i knew it before the luck graph. previous to this i had 0% roi over 8k games, and 4% roi over the last 5k games i def felt i was playing better poker. Then i ran at -6% over the next 3k. i probably didnt play my A game after the first... well 3 or 4 weeks, so i feel the graph is pretty accurate from my true winrate (6% points below)

meh like i say not moaning, i know winning players with 8% roi go on sick break-even stretches, so i guess it's the same kind of thing. just wanted osome idea of how bad the hem graph is.

this was all at ongame where the rake is horrific (10% for a tourney that lasts 15 minutes - compared to 8% rake for a 30 min tourney at stars/ft). never seen anyone with an roi above about 4% over a decent sample at any level we're all just there grinding the 65% rakeback so i was pretty happy with my 4% roi + 6% in rakeback (until january 2009 when the devil struck). anyway off to stars from march!

the HEM Luck factor is pretty cool. It's nice to know that I've ran pretty bad in the allin situations and that its not just that I've been playing bad.
