If that does clear up the confusion and end your questioning, then, hey indy, nice seein ya man, been a whaile.

Nah im being serious, not an ass here. Good to know that lots have moved to cash. I can also understand that its tough to make changes once you are comfortable with a game or if you really enjoy a game.

I guess my real underlying question is whether or not STTs are really still profitable enough to be worth the time. I thought they weren't, but given that so many vetern names are still here on this forum posting i could be mistaken. I just felt that STTs were very mechanical and that the world would catch on to the methods.

P.S. what ever happened to curtains and newt buggs?

curtains is playing 6 max nl, probably 10 hours a week or less if he hasn't changed.

I have no idea on newt.

Hey Folks,

I need to do your assistance to do a little research, and I can't figure out how else to do it - I need to know how frequently an average poker player loses their keys. Would it be possible for people who read this be able to PM me and tell me how long it has been since you last lost your keys?

To define "losing your keys" I mean the situation of "needing your keys and not knowing where they were, to the extent of:
-permanently losing your keys
-having your keys stolen
-you were not able to unlock a door for more than a day
-you needed to get the locks on your house or car changed as a result

When did the last one of those things happen to you?

For example, if your keys ended up under the couch, and you find them after looking for 10 minutes, that doesn't count. However, if your keys end up under the couch, and you don't find them for 10 days, then that does count.

Have had 5 keys cut in 6months as I've lost them.

New Years Eve my coat was stolen which had my keys in it. Before that, I lost my car keys one other time. Probably two winters ago, they just fell out of my coat pocket at some point.

Before that, it's been years and years. I used to lose my house keys all the time when I was young.

This is a pretty huge misunderstanding.

From 1 March, PokerStars will drop the monthly requirement for Platinum Star to 7,500 VPPs, which means that you need to play 1500 $16 Sit & Go Tournaments a month to earn that level (down from 2,000).

If you maintain that level, you'll earn 12.5 FPPs per $16 Sit & Go Tournament. This has a value of 20c - an addition of 1.25% to your ROI (and representing rakeback of 20%). A FPP is worth about 1.6c (either through Supernova rebates, or through the various FPP satellites).

On top of that, there are the various other bonuses - access to the various tournaments and freerolls. 2p2 did an analysis of all this and found that the total rakeback value for a PlatinumStar player was 27.5% (http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/i...rstars-vip.php).

Does locking myself out of the house or my car count. I am pretty good at that, I know where my keys are but I can't get at them.

Wow. Didn't know all that, thanks!

I guess I don't count it because I'm like 0/6 on my last 6 5400 Sunday Millions sats. So it basically = nothing for me lol.

I seriously want to know why you play husngs instead of hu cash. According to just about every top player, husngs are the least profitable form of hu poker, yet I still see you playing them. I'm seriously curious. Seriously.

It seems natural and obvious that if you're going to have free movement of capital, then it makes sense to have free movement of labour as well. It doesn't really matter much in the long run, 'cause the capital will just move to wherever the labour offers the most value (this is not always going to be the cheapest, but it will certainly be which is the most effective.... a highly skilled college graduate US is likely to be more productive than an impoverished Nicaraguan, for example)

Hero (BTN): t1375 M = 30.56
SB: t2650 M = 58.89

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BTN with 4 A
CO raises to t3630 all in, Hero calls t1375 all in, 2 folds

Flop: (t2795) 2 4 5 (2 players - 2 are all in)

Turn: (t2795) 8 (2 players - 2 are all in)

Haven't had a chance to check on SNGWiz yet (Stars still running), and how bad the overcall potential makes it, but dude had literally shoved PF the 1st ~20 hands. I would have preffered a more fun hand like J9s or something, but oh well - love the rare very non-standard situation...

I lost a set of keys about 10 years ago. They fell out of my pocket when I was snowblowing the driveway. I found them in my yard a couple months later when the snow melted. I never snowblow with keys in my pocket anymore unless the pocket is zipped all the way up, so that was the last time I lost keys.

This sounds cool. I might have to shoot for it now.

And Indy - I play cash mostly with an occasional mtt mixed in here & there. I cant remember the last time I played a set of sngs. I just like a lot of the people here, and several of us who still post here play cash now, so I keep up with this thread. Why do you play HU sngs?
