I started having that dream alot one fall semester. It finally got to the point that I went to registration and checked. turns out I had signed up for a class and completely forgot (registration for fall was in spring, so long time to forget). it was 2 weeks before the final, WAY past the drop deadline. I still went to the prof and tried. He figured since he had never seen me before I was probably telling the truth and signed it

I get both of these dreams frequently. But, I think I'm usually my current age cause I'm never that concerned cause I think HS algebra should be a breeze now.

In HS I had an argument over my grades with a teacher. Basically, he was posting the grades at the front of the class. I had the highest mark in the class. Other students were complaining cause I was never ever actually in class. Then he started to do some stuff to, in my opinion, drop my mark.

So, I just told him I do him a favour and not do the big class project and not attend another class until the final exam. Got a 78%, down from 96%.

I still constantly have dreams that I'm waking up late for a HS test, or forgot my homework or something.

But don't worry, my Dad and other guys older than I have reassured me...those dreams...never go away.

This is the about the only thing I miss about sngs. What an awesome feeling.

The thing I love most about SNG's is regs calling SB shoves in the BB 10 bb vs 10 bb w/ 2Ko 7 handed.

Not.

This reminds me of something my algebra teacher did. I never did any of the homework and was probably the only person in the class not doing it, but I consistently had the highest grades on the tests. So one day I come in and he announces something called a "homework quiz" which is literally the assignment from the previous night. So I bust out my textbook and get cracking and he comes by and tells me that I'm not allowed to use the book and that the quiz is to literally copy the homework from the night before.

Well I of course told him that this was unfair and bull**** which got me tossed out of class and sent to the one of the vice principals offices. She didn't seem too upset with me when she heard about this new practice my math teacher had undertaken. And I imagine she said something to him about it because that was the last "homework quiz" we ever had.

So I wanted to get the PS bonus.

But I had cashed out just 1 hour before the beginning of their promotion, and before I knew anything about this new bonus.

Seems like PS won't allow me to obtain this bonus: here are the last messages we exchanged:

Me:

Hello, and sorry once again.

But I think there is a misunderstanding here. I'd like to explain one last
time.

"Qualifying period for the reload bonus is from February 11 at 12:00 ET to
February 18 at 23:59 ET
If you cash out any amount from your PokerStars account during the Bonus
Period, but prior to making a qualifying deposit, you are ineligible for the
deposit bonus."

It finally appears I received confirmation for my cash out February 11 at
11:00 ET (17:00 European time)
This is BEFORE the beginning of the qualifying period.
So, it clearly appears I should be eligible for the reload bonus.

Of course, money has been wired on my account on the February 12, but my
request was made on the 11.

Here's the copy of your e mail as a proof, I hope it enlightens the
situation
I should have checked the hour of your mail before, confusion came for me
from ET, which I thought was "European Time" (I supose it's more something
like Eastern Time)

Could you now give me the permission to cash in for 1000$ so I can begin to
clear this damn bonus, please?

Thanks,

Retam012

Hello Jean,

Me: I'm sorry, but 11:00 is 1 hour before 12:00, so this is 1 hour before the
beginning of the promotion.
I can't believe you pretend it's not.

What do you think?

Burn after reading was pretty good IMO.
The first time I watched it I thought it was pretty funny but with a weak plot. The second time I watched and was unable to see the whole plot unfold made it a lot better. The first viewing it just feels like watching random disjointed events that are mildly related. The second time through it was a lot better.

Also John Malkovich is awesome.
On another note

So I want to make a prop bet with a friend.
I lay 1k he lays $200 to win the bet he must stay in a steam room for an hour. He is allowed water, he allowed goggles if he wants.

My friend is in decent shape, but he's incredibly stubborn/strong willed and willing endure quite a bit of pain/discomfort?

Do I have an edge?
Should this challenge never take place due to obvious health risks?

What do you think?

Same thing happened to me about a year ago, except mine was actually right after the bonus period but nothing was on the site yet. They let me count my next deposit for the bonus, so not sure why they're being such asses now.

burn after reading was kinda meh

not sure if that sauna bet is possible, depends on how hot it is tho I might try something like that

I've definitely had dreams where I had to go back to HS to do French or something, then as everyone said, I realize I've finished uni and I am always saying **** this and waking up. I also wonder/dream how I ever finished HS math.

When I first saw BAR I thought it was disappointing, but good. On second viewing it is a lot better, but if you hated it the first time you'd probably hate it the second time and you probably generally have bad taste in movies.

My Coen Brothers Rankings goes
NCFOM = Fargo = Blood Simple = Millers Crossing > The Big Lebowski > Hudsucker > Barton Fink > Burn After Reading > O Brother > Intolerable Cruelty > Raising Arizona > Ladykillers.

I haven't really dislike any of their movies, but there are certainly ones that miss (Ladykillers and Raising Arizona imo) and some are limited by their premises (O Brother and Intolerable Cruelty imo). Still haven't seen Man Who Wasn't There.

I just watched Barton Fink and Blood Simple back to back, both for the first time. Both were very good, BF veered totally away from what I was expecting and I think I'll need to watch it again before I really get my head around it. Blood Simple just gets better and better, the final scenes are awesome.

Here goes. Haven't seen Burn After Reading, Intolerable Cruelty or Raising Arizona.

Man Who Wasn't There = Big Lebowski > No Country > Blood Simple = Fargo > O Brother > Barton Fink > Millers Crossing > Hudsucker

Seems like this is really easy for him if he has water. I've spent 30 minutes in a sauna before by choice without water. And I think doing another 30 with water would be trvial for a couple hundred bucks.

/\/\/\ Depends what you mean by a steam room. If it's a normal sauna then it's easy no? If it's one of those ones they have in Turkish baths (I dunno how else to refer to them, I don't go in many steam rooms) with the really thick piping hot steam where it hurts to breathe or move then it would be exptremely difficult.

Depends how hard you angleshoot. Piss on the hot coals at the start and the room will stink terrible and make it 100x as difficult to stay in.
02-12-2009 , 10:43 PM
they did that on kenny vs spenny apparently

for whatever reason I always thought of turkish bathhouses as a prime place to get raped... for that reason I've never been in one. Just a bunch of sweaty men doesn't appeal to me much.

and o brother was pretty entertaining, saw it a while back but I thought it was better than BAR.

So I played some 16s earlier and one german guy constantly flamed ppl at the table in german language, he also said I was an ape, cause I got a Gary Coleman avatar.
I reported him, now he can't chat anymore. In your face, biaatch.

On monday I wrote a very important test on uni but was still all drunk from late saturday(german coaching site which I work for rented a pretty balla disco for a night, well actually it weren't only pokerplayers there but also ladies night so all fun) and thought I did pretty bad although I had learned for it like never for a test before.
Got the results earlier, 1.7 - while 1 is best and 6 is worst in germany(tho 6 doesn't exist in uni).

On the very next sat I'm gonna check out a house in cologne which I'm gonna hopefully make a flat share at with blind squirrel, one of my best pals IRL.
There will be lots of grinding if that works out, that's fosho.

Oh, and two weeks ago I met this girl who despite she was really cute thought it was cool to make money playing onlinepokers, I'm not so sure if she just said that to make me feel good or actually thought it, well either way, I'm fine with it.
Really nice flirty conversation there, unfortunately she only stroked the case of my iPhone instead of me(which is really fluffy anyway).
Hopefully gonna see her again soon, obviously I was too stupid to get her number.

So yeah, it's probly not too interesting for you guys, but quintessence is..
Life's good!
