you can get good shoes in the range from $15-50 imo, the $50-100 ones will be a bit better and last longer on average and for the $100+ ones you'll pay a good chunk for the brand itself. (Talking about one type of shoes)
The sneakers Eagles posted are neat for example, but a bit expensive for some of us semi-ballers

Those aren't old person shoes!! Vibram soles - excellent traction for doing manly work on rooftops!
Madsci, sketchers must be cool based on the way my little girls are always trying to drag me into their store.
Also, I saw Taken today. It could have used a little lower expectations, but it was good. It definitely tugged at the daddy/daughter heartstrings.
