Because OPR (and others like PokerProLabs) fully comply with PokerStars' rules requiring sites to allow players to full opt-out from their services.

SharkScope doesn't fully comply just yet, but they have agreed to do so, and hopefully we can remove them from the prohibited list soon.

Isn't the other rule that they don't show anything like ROI unless the player opts in?

The kid I've helped raise for the past 10+ years just got accepted to USC and is going to be on their rowing team. Pretty cool watching her do everything right in HS that I did wrong.

If you listen to everyone tell you how great True Grit is, you might end up disappointed.

I didn't have terribly high expectations for The Fighter and, well, I wasn't blown away, but I was happy with it.

Haven't seen Black Swan. My wife is positive I won't like it. I'm probably going to take her word for it and pass.

Hah Kennel Club is about 15 minutes from me. Unfortunately I can guarantee I don't have any completely free days to devote to one of those events.

Nice! Congrats to her, her mom, you and others in her support group. It's maybe cliche', but youth sports acts as a sort of a glue for kids growing up. Parents, uncles, friends, etc. form the fabric that helps them build their sails...

Good for y'all.

This goes for pretty much any movie. I stop people if they start pumping up a movie too much, or I just assume it's going to suck, which negates the pump up effect.

The only event (movie, concert, etc.) that I can think of that's lived up to mega-hype is Burning Man.

So how hard is it to get the ace with 5 stars (or whatever the top ranking is) on poker pro labs?

Black Swan- excellent performances, cinematography, sound...boring at times, not subtle enough imo, didn't connect with it

True Grit- overall very solidly made, great performances, definitely good but not rush out and see good

The Fighter- Christian Bale is excellent(saw this right at the time I found out my brother was a heroin addict and Bale's performance is absolutely spot on) and the story really resonated with me because of the issues with my brother. Wahlberg is meh. Solid film though.

King's Speech- Phenomenal performances. Interesting story given urgency by the backdrop of WWII. Main character really resonated with me. Disagree that you'd get the same experience seeing it at home. I think you'd lose out on some of the grandiosity of the settings on a smaller screen.

Sanctum 3d- The 3d was meh. Story predictable and meh. Father son conflict was lame. Still very cool and gorgeous if you're into caving like I am.

Tron 3d- Visuals and sound were fantastic. Loved the feel of the digital world. Story and dialogue were often laughably bad.

Blue Valentine- Very interesting juxtaposition of 2 storylines and excellent performances. Liked this a lot but saw it today and haven't had time to fully process it yet.

Of all the movies I've seen recently, King's Speech was far and away my favorite. That's saying something with how good Black Swan and True Grit are and how much I liked The Fighter.

I saw Black Swan a few days ago and loved it

I'm debating whether to go see 127 hours or True Grit tonight before I go to the local casino.

Hi - I'm not really new to 2p2, but I don't really post that much (probably due to a combination of anxiety disorder and fear of over-sharing). Anyway, I decided to stop being a forum nit. I wasn't entirely sure about where to "introduce" myself to the STTF community (which has taught me a ton, etc.), but this thread seemed like the right place. I'm 23 year old student in Chicago. So, um... consider me introduced (?)

Ok, gonna go have a stress induced panic attack now

Very much agreed, especially come oscar season.

Really good quick summaries, sorry to hear about your brother, I've watched one of my best friends from when we were younger go down that road. Good luck to your brother, and also to you and those supporting him.

I really need to get out and see the rest of these movies soon, and I have still been dieing to see 127 hours since it first came out and just haven't had a chance or theater showing close by when I have.

EDIT: Also, welcome to the forum worst of the 3 starting pokemon by far.
