I have no clue how to post a new thread on this site, but I have a question if anyone can help me about keyboards. I bought this windows keyboard that came with the calculator-looking separate number pad so that i could do betsizing easier, but when I use it on stars, it will clear the bet-box automatically when i start typing, but when the first number i type is a "6", it will then erase that 6 as well and only keep whatever numbers i type afterwards. Also it will kind of pick random times to not clear the default numbers in the bet box. This **** doesnt happen if im using the number pad to type in any other program. Does anyone have any experience with these things or any idea how to fix the settings so it doesnt do this? its super annoying.

Hi guys, in need of some advice on which monitor looks better...
And more importantly, are there any mini PC's with enough graphics power to run at least the 32 inch at 2560x1440?
My current video card is pretty old being the GeForce GTX 580

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desk...specifications

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Samsung S32D85K (PLS) 32" 5ms 2560 x 1440 HDMI LED Monitor

http://www.mwave.com.au/product/sams...YG0aAqLr8P8HAQ

Or the Samsung D590 28" Wide(16:9) UHD LED 4K 1Billion Color 3840x2160 1MS D/PORT HDMI Tilt

http://www.centrecom.com.au/samsung-...uDgaApz78P8HAQ

Much appreciated!

Anyone know of a mini PC that would run 8 tables and fit a 32" samsung monitor?

if you plan to play games on a 4k you need at least gtx 780 SLI

For 1440p i'd buy a gtx970 or 980 depending on your budget and upgrade to GPU SLI(dual) if/when needed. That's what I am planning to do as I just bought a dell U2715H monitor. Very happy with it.

I was kinda torn between a 120/144 hz which would be great for gaming or standard 60 hz 1440p.

Looking at the resolution in a 1440p I don't think i'd want a 4k for poker let alone the extra $500 you will have to spend on the graphics.

if you go with the 1440p monitor you can get away with a single GPU. But again it depends what kind of fps you want on latest games.

I'd go with 1 gtx 970 for the price and then SLI later

Is 1 GTX 970 good enough to run a 4k monitor for poker?

and then if i wanted to play games I could just play them in lower resolution?

no, you could play poker at 1 frame per second.

Google "4k full chroma" before you go 4k.

I just bought a Dell UltraSharp U3014 30 inch LCD Monitor but I cat get full resolution 2560x1600. The higherst available is 1920 x 1080. I have the monitor connected using a hdmi. I have a DVI-D cable but I dont have a connection for this on my computer. I just have vga and hdmi connections . Is there any ways of getting full resolution using hdmi ?

Depends.

If your computer's hdmi-output and your hdmi-cable are hdmi ver. 1.4 or newer - maybe.
If not - no.

The answer to HDMI is almost certainly no. Your computer video card probably doesn't support it. Google it for exact information. As Pummi said you need something that supports hdmi 1.4 which we've learned is basically no hardware.

According to Google, GTX 900 series cards are shipping with HDMI 2.0 support so maybe this limitation will soon be dead.

First time poster in this thread. I'm playing using an ASUS X551MAV-EB01-B(S)

I have two monitors I'd like to daisy-chain to my laptop, which has 1 VGA and 1 HDMI connection. The problem is that the VGA and HDMI ports are mere millimeters apart from one another, so I can't have both VGA and HDMI connected at the same time. Is the solution to this problem a VGA splitter, or a USB to HDMI converter? To be clear, I'm looking to daisy chain, not mirror the laptop screen. Thanks!

Also, I've been playing connected to 1 monitor no problem, however, I'm not sure how to find out if my laptop can even support multiple monitors being connected to it simultaneously. Can anyone help with that, too? Double thanks!!

I currently have this 23 inch monitor and am looking to add a 2nd monitor:

Is it recommended that I get a 2nd one that is also 23 inches? I thought this one looked pretty good:

I've been standing up now for about 6 months. What I did was use my normal setup, but mounted a big screen TV above my workstation that I switch to (you don't want to stand all day). I use a 1 foot high box with a piece of tempered glass I found to put on top to move my KB and mouse on to that puts everything at waist level.

60$ for a mouse that is basically the same since 10 years? Seems a bit far fetched. And yes I owned the same mouse in two versions for years and loved it, but I upgraded

Try a vertical mouse!

It's better for your arm and in that case for long grinding sessions.

I have the exact verticals mouse posted above. For the price (amazon prime $20) I don't think it can be beat. I do wish it was even more vertical though. Did buy one for both my work and for my grind station at home. Love it.

To extend my gamepad question further - is anybody here using a gamepad that is not a XBOX pad or a pad exclusively made for Windows?

The best adjustment for your arm and wrist is to use your mouse correctly.

Try this: Plant your elbow and your wrist on your desk. Use your mouse without lifting either off the table. If you cannot do this your mouse is not sensitive enough.

By using your mouse with mostly your fingers and only minor wrist movement you will be less likely to have repetitive use injury.

It's still not a natural position for your hand. If you tell someone to rest their hands on a table they will almost never do it palm down. It's almost always palm inward and that's because it's the most natural.

Mouse movement or not.
