Better yet you can just use Boot Camp to partition the drive and directly install Windows on the Intel machine. That way you can use all the memory and CPU to run windows and poker stuff --but if you want-- you can still virtual boot it from within Mac OS X.

That's what I did. You can read/write from Mac and Windows to the two programs without issues.

Best ultrabook for around $1500?

Want:

- Support for 1x 30" 2560x1600 (I'd survive without it I guess)
- Min 2 USB ports
- Bluetooth
- Good monitor/resolution
- Good quality build (don't want the plastic-y feeling)
- SSD not needed if it's possible to replace the HDD "easily" with a Kingston HyperX I have in my current laptop.
- Good keyboard (backlit is nice)
- Good battery

What I don't need/couldn't care less about:
- BluRay/DVD
- Ethernet
- SD/MMC reader
- Bloatware (will just do a clean install if its a ton on it)

Should be able to pull off grinding 5+ sites with HEM, tableninja, itunes, spotify, chrome, skype and all the standard multitask stuff.

Looks pretty healthy but I just can't imagine paying that much and not getting an SSD, unless it comes with a second HDD enclosure and you want to get a specific one, which I would say is the best plan.

If im playing 9 tables or more on a 24" 1920x1200. Isn't the font going to be small and the HUD-font as well?

Font is going to be small tiling 9 tables on anything short of a 30 inch. There are mods that make the font bigger, depending on where you play.

lol u can set the font bigger for the hud obv but the main idea is x1200 > x1080 for pokers

Find pokerstars
find file "notes.xml"
or "notes.screenname.xml"

AppData is hidden folder, so you just type that in the address bar

Just an FYI for the Macbook retina Holdem manager is really not pleased with Windows on Mac. Gives errors, works like ****, and the software doesn't really take advantage of the super resolution on the screen.

So prolly not a good grinding laptop to use it everyday, but good enough if you thunderbolt it to a 27'' Mac monitor.
