Running a massive HEM database, TN, 4 poker sites, and other applications is a huge drain on my laptop with 4 GB RAM, but on my desktop with 8 GB it's okay. Things will only get more resource intensive as time goes on so why have problems down the road when it's only a few hundred $ more for a non POS desktop.
I didn't say I wouldn't (am not in fact) do the same but I'm not a tech freak and hungry every 6mo for w/e is new on the market. I think you misunderstood me
, currently have an i5 2.7 quadC, 8ghz, 1.5T in 3 drives one SSD and a nice radeon HD5770 1gb which works perfect for all my needs. I'm a Gygabite fan so the MB is that and haven't had any issues w/e for the past year and a half.
windows 7 on the other hand.... makes me wish I was a Mac user. Also I did have the same problem with my laptop which is/was a beast (quad , 4gb, 1gb nvidia card etc) when running stars/tilt/ipoker/ps.fr/ftp.fr and a microgaming site +HEM
Nowadays it wokrs fine for Ps/ps.fr/party/other french sites
