In Wisconsin if you get an underage ticket, you have to either (at least when I was underage--25 yo):

Pay $250 fine, lose license for 6 months OR Pay $120 and take alcohol/drug classes and take it back to the courts and have them give you the clearance that you took them.

I paid the total fine, lost my license and would drive back and forth between home and school (4 hr drive) every month or so. I've never been pulled over and feel like I'm a very safe driver that doesn't rage out or take edges I shouldn't....so I said w.e I'll risk it.

This was all a few weeks before I turned 21 and UWEC just had 300k donated to cut down on underage drinking and parties around the campus. The year before the cops would come into parties and break them up, but would never issues fines unless it was something to do w. having too many kegs at a household where cups were being sold.

Were you driving when you got caught? If not, I don't see why taking your license away is justified or makes sense.

seriously, writing papers is by far the easiest part of college, knock that out in no time, its not like you are being graded.
