Played a session tonight, I like it. No big changes imo

played a small session there now, like you say no big changes just a bit weird.

Like say 1200 chips you automatically know what your doing at 25/50 + 50/100 with whatever hand but when its 40/80 i have to have a 2nd look of whats going on, did anyone else find that?

The new buyin levels suck balls. I don't see how anyone would like them. Your old fishy buddies who used to play in, say, $12, will now go to $10.85. Being a good grinder, you now follow them to $10.85. Assuming ROI is the same, you now just take a 9% pay cut. DUCY?

Same goes for other levels. The new buyin levels are VERY bad for both 180man and 45man grinders:

$12 -> $10.85 = 9% paycut
$27 -> $21.7 = 20% paycut
$38 -> $32.55 = 14% paycut

and there where no 21 180s before. They probably play as a 12 too.

This is marginally positive or negative either way, I'm more sceptic about the structure changes.

But $12 rake used to be $11+$1 which was 10% rake, and $10's are only 8.5% rake, which will provide at least a 1.5% ROI boost, and I can see a lot of fish who used to play the $7s now playing the $10s/used to play the $12s now playing the $20s which should give some boost, right? Plus I'm going to be playing the $10s instead of the $7s which is like a free 10% ROI to you all!

$1 / $11 = 10% ?? No it's 9.09%. A 0.6% difference between old and new rake.

I do not buy the statement of "fish who used to play the $7s now playing the $10s/used to play the $12s now playing the $20s" - I mean I too wish it's true. But I see people who are used to playing $12s, will migrate to $10.85, NOT $21.7, because $21.7 is almost double their old buyin level.

See above post. I think what's more likely to happen is people from old $12 will now play $10.85, not $21.7. So regs will have no choice but load up $10s.

I could be wrong though. I guess give it a week or two and see.

For 45mans, the new buyin levels are a more clear-cut ****-up. Because the migration pattern is very likely:

$6.5 -> $5.43
$12 -> $10.85
$27 -> $21.7
$38 -> $32.55
$60 -> $54.04

People who are making a living grinding 45mans just got ****ed in the rear whether they realize it or not. Gonna love Fridays

About the same as me / which is a lot.

Moving to the 10.85s, seems like a good time with all the USA grinders gone and the new buy in levels makes it less of gap when grinding 180s. Im sure some will say that the new buy in levels isnt a good thing but it allows people to move up faster. Here's hoping the 20s take off big time
