Why do you guys think it's a good idea to out regs who play sub-optimally?

If someone makes -$EV calls vs you at FT's (which yes, can at times hurt your equity), then guess what, they probably make them vs other people too. They probably have a bunch of things that they could imrpove in their game. Think of those awesome times when you fold BTN and they hand you piles of equity by spiting some other scrub bvb.

In general, highlighting the mistakes of someone who you think is bad and giving them the opportunity and motivation to improve can't be good for your game or the games in general. If you're worried about losing equity, don't post about it at all.

Well, said reg killed my equity (in absolute terms) more than I expect he will ever increase my equity by making stupid spite calls vs other regs in the future. Plus I like complaining, a lot.

obv there should be LOT of leaks if u have 1k "downswing" in 2.2s/2.5s, just checked your graph and that "downswing" was when you started to play, so I wouldn`t call it standard downswing

I was already a winning player, although not a very big winner, over a 2k+ sample before I went through that downswing. I just started a staking/coaching deal right at the time when that downswing started so during that time my game actually improved but my results plummeted.

Similar for me in that I feel I vastly improved my game and then proceeded to not be able to win a single hand with <30 players left in the game. This resulted in a plummet of about ~300 BI in ~700 games. There were days where shoving every single hand all in from the start of the tourney probably would have produced better results than I was getting.

I don't doubt I have leaks but I REALLY hope my leaks aren't bad enough to make dropping 300 BI in 700 games normal.

"normal" is a bit relative...but I mean I'd say there's a 5-10% chance that you experience something like this on a monthly basis.

There are variance calculators that you plug in field size, ROI, and some other stuff and it'll spit out probabilities of having sizeable downswings. I'm playing with one found on 2p2 and not sure if I'm doing it right but it has max downswings at ~500

500BI downswings at 2.50s are just not gonna happen. Literally must be leaks + run bad because there is no way you are playing optimally whilst on a 500BI swing.

If that is from when you first started playing then it is more likely. Just because you are learning the games so you are unlikely to be a winner and then you probably hit some bad times etc

All in all who cares cause you are winning now =] downswing's are always fun to look at when they are behind you!

I agree, a winning regular from 8/15 just cant have never ever 500 downswing @ 2,5

Ahh who cares. Maybe they do happen but I'm not one to believe they do (maybe i'm naive). All that matters is that you aren't on that swing any more and you know that you can get through them again if you go on any kind of swing again.

ModzillaPL comes to mind. He was considered a pretty solid 2.50 grinder. I think hes got at least 1 near 400 BI, maybe not a 500. Not trying to justify anything here but it's just an example.
