hi everyone,

i was playing STT 5$, 6 tables at once and i went up recently playing 10$ with the same amount of tables at once.

i'd like to know how many buy-in are required for playin in this situation, is this different from playing 1 table at a time?

what are the authors saying?

if u got some advices, links, own experience... i take it!

thanks and good day

theres not much difference really, but i guess people who play 1 table at a time at casual players who dont need 100 buyins if your thinking about playing fairly seriously, i'll always recommend at least 100 buyins for any level.

no big difference between the players at $5 and $10 SNGs. if you feel confident with six tables then you should keep it since sngs are mostly abc-poker

The "required" amount of buy-ins for one table is one, and for six tables it's six.

The amount of buy-ins to "comfortably" play at a level is based upon your desired risk of ruin and not by how many tables you play at a time, though your risk of ruin will slightly increase with the more tables you play due to losing the ability to make specific reads so your amount of buy-ins should slightly increase as well.

just keep opening tables until it says you dont have enough monies to open up any more

Just to clarify there is a huge difference between the 16$ and 6$ STT's on stars.

huge difference between turbos and regulars actually. turbos are gonna have more pros or semi-pros while regulars will not have many if any at all

so i would say if you're going to be playing so few tables of just regulars you might even be fine with 25 buyins if you are willing to move down

if you're going to be playing the turbos 50 buyins min

I'm not really sure that's entirely true... I just feel like it takes a while longer to figure out who the regulars are at the "regulars" because you can't put in as much volume. I feel like there are 10-15 guys who seem to ALWAYS be at my tables when I play the 10+1s/20+2s on FTP. But yeah, I'm a bankroll nit and usually play by an 80 min for shot taking, but typically at least 100 BIs.
