maybe a bad fold? maybe a bad fold?

OK,

This hand is haunting me right now. this was a $10 rebuy with approx 400 to start and we are down to 12 at this point.

I apologize for not having the hand history but I'll do my best to simulate what it would do.

blinds are at 4K 8K and ante i forget but its standard

UTG is a TAG who has pretty much only played preflop and for stacks the entire tournament. Every time he's been 3 bet he's gone all in.

CO is very tight, I have not seen him go to showdown over about 1.5 hours at the table I've only seen him play 3-4 hands total and they were all for raises (one of which he folded to a 3bet all in to UTG)

SB: HERO - 69k hand: 99
UTG: villain 1 - 132K
CO: villain 2 - 124K

UTG raises to 24K, CO raises all in for 124K, HERO ???

I opted to fold in this spot even though I had less than 10 BB's because my theory is that I wanted to be the one going all in with a hand like 99 and I don't like 3 way all in against 2 tight players.

Just wondering if this is a call or if my fold was correct.

thanks for your insight

Given your reads I think it's a crying fold. This is assuming CO's range is like AQ+,TT+

UTG doesn't have a stack where he "should" be raise/folding, but if it's a tight table (and you're 6 handed) he can be raising wider. If you shove, he can probably only call with like JJ+,AQs+,AKo. If UTG is only calling 30% of the time, a shove is still -cEV

This is not taking into consideration ICM either..

You're just upset over what happened, your reads make this a fold. If you could be the 3 bettor it would be different.

Reluctant fold.

Agreed. Trust your reads. Just because you would have won the hand is immaterial. It's not an easy fold but given your description of the players 99 rates to be a huge dog vs. one of them.
