$400 tournament, 40+ entrants, about slightly more then half remain. Maybe 45 min before late reg ends.

Blinds 2k/4k bb ante, I have about 50k after posting bb ante, shortest stack at my table. 30 min levels.

Moved to my table maybe 3 orbits ago and have doubled up twice from a 5bb stack (stack has decrease as blinds went up). Main V is CO who seems snug, think he might have taken a pot down pre, haven't seen him play much.

Folds to CO who raises to 8k, everyone folds, I defend bb with K6dd.

(Pot 14k) Flop 556dxx, I check, CO bets 10k, I have about 45k behind. CO definitely has an average to above average stack. Don't plan to reenter the tournament (not sure if this affects anything).

Not sure if I'm over thinking this, call or jam? Also thoughts on pre?

Pre is a mandatory defend. On flop if we have no info other than 3 orbits and seems snug, we have to jam or like minraise/jam turn. We flopped a very good hand, we're going to be beat a decent amount by a snug opponent but we just have to deny equity here. We cannot check call and let this person realize their equity with so many two overcard combos.

You have a spot with good equity and terrible equity realization on this flop. Almost the entire deck will make your top pair into second pair. If villain really is a nit you probably could safely fold to a second barrel but it is a small sample size. Maybe he has just been card dead. What if, for example, the turn is a J and he bets the turn? All of a sudden you are in a really tough spot. He could have Jx but he could still be betting two overs. Shoving makes this an easy hand. Sure if he is as nitty as you think, he might have an overpair. However if he is a bit he might think you wouldn’t be shoving without a 5, an overpair or maybe even a boat or quads.

Short version - if he is a nit, shoving gives you pretty good fold equity, and if he isn’t a nit, you probably have decent equity anyway that shoving allows you to fully realize.

Perfect x/jam spot.

Flop is way better for your range, his range will include a lot of overcard combos, and even against big pairs you have outs.

Thanks guys, guess it's very standard, perhaps was just being results oriented.

Results : I Jammed and he snapped with QQ

Its definitely a standard jam.

The only thing that gives me pause is that villain bet 10 into 14 on a dry paired board, leaving roughly a pot sized bet left on the turn. IME, this screams value, especially if villain had been using more theory based sizings previously. But maybe he is just cbetting big all the time and you say you havent seen him play a pot postflop so you cant look too much into his sizing.
