(low) 4bet all in with KK?

Hi,
I'm new here not sure how it works, but I'd appreciate thoughts on this hand I played yesterday in $11 Sunday storm on pokerstars last night.
Early stages about 90bb deep. I'd been playing tight, slightly below average stack. I was in lojack with KK.
I raised 4bb
Hijack 3bet to 10bb.
I 4bet all in, figuring he didn't have aces. This move was the only profitable way I could see to play this.
He called with AQs
Ace on the flop, so I went out of tournament. His play wasn't mathematically correct.

My first question would be do you always raise to 4x preflop? Reason being it's a very large open size, thus people should be flatting/3betting way tighter than normal. I'm just going to assume vs. a 4x open this 3betting range is something in the realm of JJ+, AQo+, AQs+ and maybe a random A5s/A4s. Given how tight his 3betting range should be as a result of our 4x open, I may agree shoving is the best play. I think most people will call QQ+ and at least AKs, and wouldn't be surprised if some called with JJ and AKo.
However, I think it will be far more profitable if you were to open to 2-2.5x preflop, you get 3bet to 7-8 bb, now we can 4bet to like 17-20. By opening to 2-2.5x, their 3betting range on the button will be much wider with suited broadways, offsuit broadways, and wheel Axs, and they will have to call the 4bet with some of these hands. Obviously if we 4bet and get jammed on we're calling.

Raise too big. Even as played I would still 4-bet to something like 25bb planning to call off, as AK and worse but pairs often feel obligated to play for stacks at that SPR.
I can argue not having an all in range at all but I’m sure our AK specifically just wants to jam there so it’s not like jamming KK is awful, but it just means you can’t induce 5-bet jams with worse.

I think 4BB too big there, 2.5bb in LJ/HJ. At the end of the day though, you want AI KK vs AQx . Just my 2 cents
I get the 4BB play, but long term I think you lose EV on your KK with that bet.

It is fine to open 3x early in the Storm. The 4x open is OK if you are doing it with with a balanced range. Otherwise, it might be a bet size tell.
The shove is probably good early in the Storm. It is the reentry period and he 3! your 4x open, so he is likely to call.

Bad advice to recommend standard sizings early in the Storm.
