live donkament at my local snooker hall/poker room. quality of the players is generally low however there are some reasonably solid players. i consider myself to be the one of the best players in the circuit.
Anyway here is the hand:
25 start
3 places pay
$25 buy in
14 players left
we are 7 handed
the blinds are crazy and the structure turns into a shovefets towards the end of the tournament.
effective stacks are 10k
Blinds: 400-800
folded to me on the button and i look down at JJ i raise to 2000 the sb who is one of the few solid players that i have some sliught respect for insta shoves.. and i mean he snap shoves
BB gets out the way and im left with a very tough decision for my whole stack
what do you do??
i will tell you what i did after several posts

Alright, since you're searching hard for opinions by posting the hand twice, I'll give you mine. You opened on the button with the fourth best hand in poker, ~12.5 BBs, in a super fast turbo structured tournament that is basically a pushfest. There is never ever a fold. While most live players have no clue about resteals or such, your "solid reg" still probably knows the button is the place for thievery. Don't you think he'd be happy to insta-shove hands like 88-1010, AK, AQ etc (and that's uber tight). Even if Villain is the 90 year old grandpa that only plays monsters I'd think about fo.... nevermind, get it in.

ship the the first time around
anyways, i cant imagine folding now, you have 10k, now you have 8k, so you have to call 8k to win 12k getting 1.5:1 with JJ
unless you have a read hes not doing this with anything but the nuts, i know your insta/snap/shove is a strong hand/read, but would he ever go nuts with TT? im pretty sure i would in his spot, as well as like 88+ and AK, especially if you ever open the button light.
