Villian just sat down at table about 3 hands ago after a table was broken up. I don't know him.
Folds to Villian on Button, he min raises to 1600. SB folds, I have As8c. I call. My plan was to call and if I flopped an ace or eight, I would ship it. Should I have shipped preflop? Folded preflop?
Pot is 5200.

With your particular hand shipping preflop is probably optimal.
