In a local $75 tourney with $1200 for first, we are down to 12 players from a starting field of 48. 800k chips in play and I have 33k. Players are generally bad, they limp too much and call raises without thought to hand, position or stack size. Some of the worst players are left in the field so I really don't want to go bust. Blinds are 1.5/3k (no antes) and the villian raises in the hijack to 6k with 35k behind. He has been opening a pretty tight range from what I have seen, but I have not played with him that long and he is not one of the regulars. I have AQs on the button. Generally this seems to be an easy shove online but given all the factors I have mentioned can I consider folding or flatting? I think the villian's range is KJ+, A9+ and 55+. Turns out he had QQ and I whiff.

Thanks.

- Phil

Equity
Hand 0: 54.506% { AsQs }
Hand 1: 45.494% { 55+, A9o+, KJo+ }
Seems absolutely standard to shove here if you think he will call with some worse hands like A9-AJ, KJ-KQ. Just be prepared to flip for your stack. If top 9-10 pay and there are shortstacks, I would consider passing here.
