I have only played a handful of live tournaments and still adjusting from online where most of the work like calculating pot/stack sizes are done for you. I am submitting this hand because looking back it feels really untidy with the sizing's I opted for although the line itself of raise pf, c-bet flop and shove turn are standard right? I'd just like to hear your thoughts on the right sizes to choose on each street.

Blinds are 200/400 ante 50

Our stack is 12,400 and we our covered by everyone at the table

All folds to MP who limps along with HJ and then we in the cutoff raise to 2000 with Pocket Kings. All folds until the limpers in MP and HJ call. The pot is 7000 going to flop of J 9 3 rainbow, I c-bet 3500, Mp folds and HJ calls with a pot of 14,000.

Turn is a Queen which is not a great card as all 10x holdings pick up equity and JQ is possible, not too worried about KT due to us blocking that but we have less than half pot so decided to ship it in with the last 6900 and HJ tank calls with J3o and river is safe for them.

Obviously as you said your general line is good. In live tournaments though as opposed to online you get more passive opponents who limp/call pre quite a bit (as you found out here). The main thing you could do differently is use a larger sizing pf. You raised to 5BB, which is okay, but if you see a lot of sticky pf play, you can probably go bigger and possibly get heads up instead of multi-way.

A larger sizing pf might set you up for a reasonable overbet jam on the flop. A 3000 PF raise that gets called by both villains makes the pot 9000 going to the flop and leaves you with just a bit over 9000. That allows you to follow up with a reasonably sized flop jam.

The problem with your sizings is that you left yourself an awkward stack on the turn. You arenÂ’t getting much fold equity with a less than half pot jam. Given what villain wound up calling with, it probably would not have made much difference in this spot. He is probably calling a flop jam regardless of size, but you really didnÂ’t have a stack to play three streets here. You probably are best off going larger pre and setting up a jam on most flops. Even AP, you naught have been better off with an overbet jam otf rather than leaving such a small stack for a turn jam.
